The Classic Tour itinerary included all the highlights I'd wanted to see, and I really appreciated the schedule management and the lunch breaks at local restaurants with traditional menus. The hotels were generally acceptable, with the best being the Cave Hotel in Cappadocia, a truly enchanting place. We traveled in a group of four in a minivan with all the comforts, including wifi.

Our tour guide G was amasing he answered everything we asked. Gave a great commentary. Our driver was also excellent always ready to take us on to our next adventure. The hotel the first night was ok. The other hotels were lovely. The cave hotel was a hit . I think the rooms were amasing (might be an issue if you are umsteady on your feet) . We were disapointed that our sunrise balloon ride (extra cost) did not happen at sunrise as stated. We were picked up at 6.25 am butt it took 45 minutes (and that was with balloon company driver driving fast and the amount of traffic trying to get to sight) it took us until 7. 30 am before we got into balloon and were air borne by this time it was daylight. So we did not get the sunrise in the sky as promised. Very disappointing. (This was the fault of hot air balloon company not FEZ) also they took photos on the hpt aor balloon but we never saw them. Also a bit diapointing that we had to pay extra for our flight from capadocia back to istanbul. I think thay should have been included in the over all cost of the trip which was approx $2500 Aud per person. As the only other option was a 13 + hour drive back to istanbul.

This was a great tour of places in Türkiye that, having read about them, now have greater meaning. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and explained the place of the various locations in the broader scheme of the history of that part of the world. That said, be prepared to absorb a lot of information as understanding the relationship between the various sites will add to your experience. Also know that there will be a considerable amount of walking on uneven surfaces (some of the sites are still active archaeological sites) - so be prepared. Depending on the time of year it can be quite hot - so carrying water is essential. Thoroughly recommended.

I did the Turkey Classics Tour booked through TourRadar and had a wonderful experience overall. The itinerary was well-planned, covering many of Turkey’s most iconic sites, including Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale, and Ephesus. Each destination offered something unique, and I felt like I got a great overview of the country’s rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everyone was comfortable and informed. The coach was modern and comfortable, which made the longer travel days much easier to handle. Accommodation was generally good, with a mix of hotels ranging from decent to very nice. Meals included were tasty, and there were plenty of chances to sample local cuisine. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that a couple of stops felt a bit rushed. However, these were minor issues in an otherwise memorable and well-executed trip. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore Turkey for the first time!

We enjoyed our 6 day classics tour. Our starting point Nidya Hotel was very nice and within walking distance to Galata tower. Our guide was G and he was very easy to get a long with. We covered a large distance but which was expected but we chose not to do the long drive back to Istanbul on the last day electing to fly back from Kayseri airport. We really enjoyed the hotels in Kusadasi, Pamukkale and Cappadocia (many steps to the rooms). Hotel Barbaros in Canakkale should have cooled the rooms before we all arrived. They were unbearably hot when we arrived. Our meal there that night was great. Although we paid for day 7 and our transport back Istanbul and our hotel had to pay our own way to the Kayseri airport on day 7

Guide was good, very knowledgeable and organised. However, more authentic lunch stops would of been appreciated, rather than roadside diners at gas stations. It was extremely expensive and not great food. This seemed to be depicted by the driver. We chose to do the hot air balloon ride in cappadocia, and were disappointed to hear that we had been charged more than most other travellers. Other people we talked to had booked rides for almost 100 euro cheaper than what we paid, and recieved more as apart of the package as well. The last day was also a very long day of driving - which was okay, but we felt the week/locations could have been broken up a bit more evenly to make it more enjoyable and less tiring. We stopped at a carpet education centre just out of kusadasi, where we were told there was no pressure to buy anything and it was more about showcasing the traditional practices than anything else. This was absolutely not the case. It started off well - relaxed and interesting, watching how the processes were done, but quickly flipped into being targeted and pressured into buying expensive carpet. They cunningly singled people out and put pressure on individuals to buy, even after being told no multiple times, they still would not give in. We left feeling extremely disappointed as it started off so well. More vulnerable people were persuaded into buying carpets even though they did not 100% want to which was not very fair.

The tour’s structure is relative fine, the hotels are good, the food is good too however the tour guide I don’t think he was the right person. Too much history I had to research by myself cuz all were missed. We went to pointless stops and slept others. Asking questions to him was difficult cuz he didn’t know how to answer. The way back is optional from Cappadocia to Istanbul but no one says is gonna be that long so at the end we had to book tickets and paid 100 euros for the taxi. That information was not clear at all. Every service with the tour company was more than double in price. I understand with the company can be higher and we are willing to pay as you do the logistics but a Jeep was 30 euros the tour guide changed 90 and the balloon 300 euros and we bought it for 115€. Everything is like “it is not included”, “it is not part but it will be x€ if you want” The experience was good but too many little things left me disappointed.

I am very interested in your Turkey Classic tour however, we only arrive at Istanbul IST airport on 24 August 2026 at 05h20 and are worried if we will be able to connect with the coach on time. I therefore have some questions that need clarification before I make the booking. 1. Where will the coach depart from in Istanbul? 2. What time will the coach depart from this location. 3. If not the airport will we have enough time to go through passport control, customs & baggage collection? 4. We will have to hope and pray that we do not have any delays and can reach the departure point on time but should the coach leave before we get there is there some form of reasonably priced transport that we could get and catch up with the tour at the first stop (Gallipoli).

The tour departs from Port Bosphorus Hotel at about 8:00 - 8:15am. Stopping at the airport for the group unfortunately is not an option. However we have Turkey Beauty Tour, which stays in Istanbul on 24th August and flies to Izmir Airport to meet the Turkey Classics Group in Kusadasi on 25th August. Turkey Beauty includes accommodation and airport transfer in Istanbul but excludes a visit to Gallipoli and Troy.

Is there an option for triple share room, its only me, my wife and daughter. Have you got details of the properties we will be staying in. Also the cruise on the sail ship, is the support ship always around for easy access to toilet & shower. The last day from Ankara to Istanbul, the drive is a pretty long one, how many stops will we be making and are there any places of interest we will be visiting. Is there an option to fly to Istanbul from Ankara

We can book a triple room for 3 people. Hotels are: MD Barbaros in Canakkale, Ilayda Avantgarde in Kusadasi, Adem Pira in Pamukkale, Hanedan Hotel in Cappadocia. There'll be 3-4 stops on the way to Istanbul via Ankara but we may book a flight from Cappadocia to Istanbul on the last day. On the optional Bosphorus Cruise Tour, there are toilets on the ferry.

Can you please provide me with a quote for triple share room and also a quote for a single and twin room. Also if you have costings for the optional tours would help with our budgeting for the trip.

Can you let me know if anyone else has booked for this date yet, 28-July? My preference is to book into a tour where others are already booked so please let me know if there is a more suitable date?

On 28th July departure we have 3 pax so far but for being a sub-tour of our most popular tour, it is likely to get more people. If your dates are flexible, there are 5 people on 21st July departure, on 4th August there are 6 people.

If you use a walker, a private tour is the best option, as it ensures personalized assistance and modifications to make your experience as smooth as possible. Flexibility & Customization – The itinerary can be adjusted to match your interests, pace, and mobility needs. Personalized Attention – A private guide ensures you receive detailed insights and assistance tailored to you. Comfort & Convenience – Travel in a private vehicle with door-to-door service, avoiding long waits and large crowds. More Relaxed Pace – You can take breaks as needed, ensuring a stress-free experience. Turkey's historic sites can present some accessibility challenges, but with a private tour, adjustments can be made to enhance comfort.
