Itinerary
- Day 1
Istanbul to Gallipoli to Çanakkale
Start early and drive from Istanbul to the Gallipoli Peninsula, a site that carries deep historical weight for Turkey. You'll spend the day walking through WW1 battlefields and memorials, including Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair, then stop at ANZAC Cove, Johnston's Jolly, and The Nek. You can see the original trenches and tunnels that remain from the fighting. By evening, head to Çanakkale for the night.

- Day 2
Çanakkale to Troy to Behramkale to Kuşadası
Leave Çanakkale and drive to Troy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you'll walk through the ancient city ruins and check out the award-winning Troy Museum. After that, it's on to the village of Behramkale to see the traditional stone houses and narrow winding streets, giving you time to grab Turkish tea or coffee and wander around. Later you'll head south to Kuşadası for the night, arriving by early evening.

- Day 3
Kuşadası
Join a guided tour through Ephesus and see the site where the Temple of Artemis once stood. You'll walk through the ancient theatre and get a sense of what daily life was like in this historic city. Then visit the Ephesus Archaeology Museum to see regional artifacts up close. Before wrapping up, stop at the carpet village where local weavers show you how hand-woven carpets are made and what affects their value.

- Day 4
Kuşadası to Pamukkale
Start with a display of locally made leather goods, then head to Pamukkale and its white calcium terraces, which look unlike anything else. You'll tour the ancient city of Hierapolis nearby, and after that, take a swim in the hot springs. The water's warm from underground thermal activity, and you'll be floating around Roman-era columns, which makes the whole experience feel connected to history.

- Day 5
Pamukkale to Cappadocia
Travel south along the route that was once the Silk Road, stopping at Sultanhani Caravansary to see where merchants used to rest and trade. Pass through Konya and visit the Mevlana museum before arriving in Cappadocia. Once settled in, you can opt to catch a traditional Turkish folklore show in the evening with belly dancers, folk performers, and live musicians.

- Day 6
Cappadocia
Spend your day in Cappadocia exploring the unique landscape. Walk through the Goreme Valley Open Air Museum and see the distinctive rock formations called fairy chimneys. You'll also descend into one of the underground cities to see the different levels carved into stone. Stay another night in your cave hotel and take in the otherworldly scenery at sunset and sunrise if you wake early.

- Day 7
Cappadocia to Ankara to Istanbul
Wake early for the drive to Ankara, Turkey's capital. Visit Anitkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, which is an important landmark in the country. After touring the site, you'll begin the drive back to Istanbul. Plan to arrive back in the city around 7pm, ending your week-long journey through Turkey's historical and natural sites.
