The lobby was beautiful ... Bus rides allowed for viewing of the beautiful scenery of this country. Fellow travellers were also nice, we were a nice small group of 7.

Our travelers tell us how the old Silk Road sections through Konya, Cappadocia and surrounding areas come alive with fall colors, making those longer travel days more interesting. If you're trying to decide between tour styles, I'd lean toward the smaller groups. Some of our customers who've done the larger bus tours with companies like Eskapas mentioned the quality can be hit or miss, and you might spend more time than you'd like on the bus between stops. The private and small group options tend to work better for most people - you get more attention from the guide and can move at a more natural pace. The way these companies adapted during Covid shows a lot about how they operate. Tour Altinkum was particularly good about working with travelers on rescheduling and refunds, which isn't something every company managed well during that time. Their local knowledge really came through when plans needed quick adjustments. Just keep in mind that while the bigger group tours are often cheaper, you're trading some of that personal touch and flexibility that makes the smaller tours special.
