I have booked a flight from katmandu to paro airport 17 November and looking to do a 8-10 day tour in Bhutan. I am not over experienced with trekking or hiking. I do walks everyday, but need the trekking to be not too difficult. Do you have a recommendation?

I am really interested in your 9 day tour of Bhutan, I am a single traveller. Would it be possible to book the 9 day tour to coincide with one or two days of the Paro festival.

    • Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperatorWritten August 2025

Yes, the annual Paro Tshechu Festival in 2026 is tentatively scheduled from 29th March to 2nd April. If you arrive in Bhutan on 30th or 31st March, you will be able to see this festival. The first day takes place inside the Paro Dzong courtyard with limited space, but we recommend seeing the festival from the second day onwards when it is outdoors with enough space for spectators.

    Asked on January 28th, 2025

Would you be able to help with booking of international flights to this tour?

    Flights / Transfers
    • Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperatorWritten January 2025

We are able to arrange your flights ex-Paro (Bhutan) only. I am sorry we would not be able to arrange the flight from Copenhagen. There are only 2 airlines (Drukair and Bhutan Airlines) that connect Paro to Bangkok, Kathmandu, Delhi & Kolkata. Drukair also operates from Singapore and Dubai but there may not be flights available on the day you wish to travel because it is operated only twice weekly. Please check the flight availability on their website and you may book online.

I am quite sure you will be able to do all of the hikes mentioned in this tour. Of all the hikes, Day 6 (hike in Phobjikha valley) is the easiest and Day 8 (hike to Taktsang Monastery) is the toughest one. You will be able to hike to Taktsang if you start early. In case you are not able to do it, we will replace this activity with some other enriching experiences.
