Looking at staying 4 days and 3 night stay in Istanbul. This is for a birthday trip for my mother who is 70 years old and wouldn't be able to walk a lot. If we were to book the group tour is there a lot of walking involved or is it best to book a private tour? Also, with regards to accommodation are you able to confirm where we would be staying please?

Our City of Sultans trip is a private tour - our shorter city tours are all private options. Superior City of Sultans tour is £585pp. We frequently use Ramada Old City and Kent Hotel in Istanbul. Both are 4 Star Hotels with modern amenities and great locations near major monuments and the Grand Bazaar.

Does the twin share have 2 beds? What hotel? My mother is over 70, is that an issue?

We can definitely book a twin room with 2 separate beds. We normally use Ramada Old City or Kent Hotel. There is no problem for people over 70 to travel on this tour but all passengers over 70 needs to complete our tour suitability form.

There is too much much to say about how wonderful this trip was. From my first hotel Santa Clause hotel in the town of Rovaniemi, to the one night in a glass igloo at the arctic snow hotel it was epic!!!!! Husky sledding was so much fun, I entertained everyone by venturing off track and throwing myself and my passengers into deep snow it was hilarious. The reindeer sleigh ride was wonderful, through an enchanting forest with snow topped trees, snow falling on my face I was laying there thinking wow this is the life! Breakfast was lovely. Then wow to the arctic snow hotel, I've literally been telling every single person I meet they must go, the ice bar was great with banging tunes and having a cheeky shot then throwing the glass against the wall, it was so much fun. I also had a 3 course meal in the ice restaurant that night and it was delicious and such a beautiful place surrounded by ice carvings although -7 inside and that night it was -18 lol. Wow to the glass igloo, it was epic again I can't stop using that word, it was so comfortable and cosy inside compared to the bitter cold outside, lying on the bed looking at the stars and then seeing the northern lights was wonderful. The breakfast the next day was I think the best I've had anywhere in the world. Lingonberry crumble with caramel sauce...was only my starter lol. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
