    Elena

    Asked on January 12th, 2026

I'm interested in the Amsterdam to Rome tour. I'm seeking information about specific hotels on the tour.

    Accommodation
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

Expat Explore generally uses 3- to 4-star hotels with ensuite bathrooms, focusing on value and comfort rather than luxury. Specific hotels vary by tour, but they are typically clean, well-located, and convenient for sightseeing. Please note that in some European locations, beds may be smaller than expected, as this is part of our budget-friendly travel approach.

Our tours aim to combine affordable, comfortable accommodation with enjoyable experiences, using private coaches and including free days for personal exploration.

Can you provide a detailed overview of the current hotel partners for the Amsterdam to Rome?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

Currently our Operations Team has not yet confirmed the hotels for the departure you are wanting to book for.

We will however have this information closer to the departure date.

    Dave

    Asked on January 12th, 2026

I am looking at all the optional excursions available during the tour and was wondering if these need to be booked in advance or can we book the day of the event??

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

Optional excursions can only be booked once the main tour itself is confirmed — for example, a tour from Amsterdam to Rome. Once your tour booking is confirmed, we will provide you with a quotation for each optional excursion and can discuss the booking process in detail.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

We have a number of optional excursions on offer which are not included in the tour cost. This allows you to add experiences to your tour based on your preferences and budget. I have attached the list of optional excursions below for you to take a look at, you'll notice that a few need to be booked prior to the tour but the rest can all be booked and paid for on tour so you won't need to make a final decision before the time.

    Marina

    Asked on June 18th, 2025

Would just be interested in Amsterdam- Rome with same route as the Rome to Amsterdam trip- with stops in the Swiss Alps, Rhine valley etc not Spain.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten June 2025

The current Amsterdam to Rome tour follows a different route, with stops through France, Andorra, Spain, and southern France, before continuing into Italy. It does not include the Rhine Valley or Swiss Alps on the way. As our tours are pre-set and non-customizable, we're unfortunately unable to adjust the route or swap destinations.

Unfortunately we do not have a January departure for this tour in 2026. The first departure for 2026 is 8 April 2026 - 18 April 2026. Would your clients perhaps be interested in another tour departing in January 2026?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten June 2025

I am afraid that we do not have any Europe Tours that are operated as early as January. The earliest we offer our Europe Tours are mostly in March.

Another question is how can I organise a transfer from the hotel to Rome train station after the finish of the tour?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten February 2025

We recommend checking with your hotel to see if they provide shuttle services to and from the hotel. If a shuttle service is not available, we've partnered with a trusted provider, Welcome Pickups, to make airport and hotel transfers simple and convenient.
