  A great option for those going for Kilimanjaro for the first time because we slept in cabins which I understand are more comfortable than tents. The trek is tough because of the high altitude, bitter cold and tough terrain. Our guides were great and really helped us in many ways. Food was great and we enjoyed the friendly guides who were responsible for our welfare. Thank you for making sure that we reached the summit and arranging everything so well. Thank you Martin and crew for the wonderful support.Show more

  Doing Kilimanjaro with Zara Tanzania Adventures was the best decision that did. They organized everything about the trek perfectly. We chose the Marangu route so that we could stay overnight in the log cabins which are secured and not crowded in the offseason. Our guides Lema, Juma and Baraka were perfect and took excellent care throughout the whole trek. They were friendly and ensured that we ate well, also checking our health regularly. We had perfect weather throughout and got to enjoy awesome views from Kilimanjaro every day. A huge vote of thanks to the entire team from Zara Tanzania Adventures for the amazing experience.Show more

  Our group of five teachers chose Zara Tours because they came highly recommended by our friends. Upon doing a bit of online research we discovered that Zara Tours is one of the oldest and most reliable Kilimanjaro trekking operators in Tanzania. The trip was well planned with an expert crew. They were knowledgeable, friendly and caring. They put our safety first, above everything else. The cabins operated by the park were pretty decent. We got three hot meals with plenty of snacks in between from Kimario our chef, It was fun! Given another trip up Kilimanjaro I would still use Zara ToursShow more

  We took a weeklong a trip to Tanzania to celebrate our fifth anniversary with Zara Tours. They were pretty flexible and adjusted the itinerary to fit into our needs. We did the 6 days Kilimanjaro trekking with a very experienced crew of guides, porters and cook. They took time to teach us about the mountain; terrain, trees, birds that we encountered on the climb. Equipment was great, food was amazing and the actual experience to the summit memorable. I would recommend this operator as the best for Kilimanjaro.Show more

  We are just back from doing Kilimanjaro last week. We took the 6 days Machame route and I appreciate their advice to include the extra day for acclimatization because the push to the summit was extremely tough. We had an awesome crew that made the tough trek manageable from their support and invaluable tips and tact of approach drawn from their numerous times they have successfully guided climbers to the summit. Food was awesome and we had plenty of water to drink….Its important to keep hydrated. We had the best equipment in terms of tents, sleeping bags, portable toilet, walking sticks, oxymeter and a fully kited first aid box. Our bonus for being among the first people to go for the trek this season was a really quiet and pristine track. Overall this is one of the best trips we’ve done.Show more

  My husband and I have just returned from Kilimanjaro summit via Marangu and we couldn't be happier with the top class support we had from Zara Tours Kilimanjaro climbing crew. Everything was well planned and went smoothly as spelt out in the itinerary if not better. We were the only climbers in our party affording us exclusive support from crew and equipment. John Chittanda the chief guide is very experienced and took charge of his crew that we had wholesome support and our needs well met. His experience and expertise came in handy all through the climb but was the main decider that helped us navigate bad weather on the summit night and succeed to Uhuru Peak. With our conquest we are very grateful to the crew for their contribution of technical, physical and mental support.   My Kilimanjaro Marangu route trek with Zara Tours must be one of my greatest experiences in my trekking life. It was just epic! My utmost gratitude goes to the team that involved in organizing our trek and the climbing crew under the senior guide Nteze who turned our dream into reality. My thanks cannot compensate for their earnest hard-work and support in ensuring that we made it to the summit safely. I would like to add that these guys are real experts on matters Mt Kilimanjaro and willing to share their knowledge and experiences. I came out of this experience more with more knowledge about Tanzania, rejuvenated and excited that I would love to do this again sometime. The support crew was very welcoming and took care of everything we needed to in the trek. The food was amazing!!! The chef outdid himself in each and every meal and his assistant was such as great person who helped us all through. A special thanks to the porters. They carried all our supplies the whole duration of the trip. At the end of the daily section the porters would rush ahead and pitch our tents such that when found them standing when we got to camp. My friend suffered mild altitude and Nteze quickly came to her rescue, attended to her and she was better in a few minutes. In summary i enjoyed my trek and I have nothing negative to point out. I would recommend Zara Tours any day. A big thank to the whole team and management for making our stay memorable!Show more
