This was a terrific tour of some of the major sites in Egypt. Our guide, Ramez, was a qualified Egyptologist who was very knowledgeable, not to say enthusiastic, about his subject. We travelled in the Northern summer and it was quite hot so sun protection and plenty of water were essential. At other times of the year it might be more comfortable from that point of view. The accomodation was excellent, particularly on the Nile Cruise. Our trip from Luxor back to Cairo/Giza was by overnight train and let's just say Egypt Rail has quite a lot of work to do in this department. We would suggest flying where possible.

Sites, excursions were great. Tour guide was fabulously terrific! Vans were great, train was 2 star rating and 'highly' unreliable! It took 11 hours for an 8 hour trip from Luxor to Cairo. Due to the delay i was unable to enjoy any time at the museum. Pressed for time to get to airport.

This trip was exceptional! From the moment I arrived at the airport, a representative from Timeless Tours was there to ensure a smooth transition. The resort we stayed at in Cairo was close to the Pyramids and offered a lot of great amenities. I especially like the shops and nearby bank that made exchanging currency easy and convenient. Our guide Mina was AMAZING! He was very detailed and knowledgeable in explaining details about every place we visited. He was gracious enough to share additional details so I could update my daily travel blogs too! The Train from Cairo to Aswan was not great. The train is not new and the bathrooms were filthy from the time the train left Cairo. The wash basin cabinet door in our car was broken and would not close and banged against the wall all evening. The train horn blasted most of the evening too. I highly, highly recommend upgrading to stay another night in Cairo and fly down to Aswan. It will be worth it to get quality sleep and avoid a potentially unpleasant train experience. Other than the train, the entire trip was amazing! I would absolutely do this in a heartbeat. If you are considering a tour of Egypt that will show you a lot of everything throughout the country, this is the trip for you!!!

What a wonderful tour. Timeless Tours you did everything you promised. As a lady traveling alone, I was a bit nervous but I was met (even though it was 3.30am) even before going through passport control. We were in a private minibus super fast. The hotel was lovely, set in beautiful gardens, with a big pool. Very good food and super helpful staff. Travel was in modern air-conditioned mini buses and friendly drivers. Remy and Meena were my guides but it was Meena that travelled with me for the most part. He was incredible, very knowledgeable, patient and lots of fun. His attention to detail and making sure the group (only 2 of us) were enjoying all the wonderful experiences Egypt has to offer. I have to say that his personality and kindness was outstanding. The Nile cruise was a dream come true, as were the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. If there was any bad part of the whole trip, it was the train. I knew it would be quite basic but was not quite prepared for how dirty it was. The state of the toilets was terrible but in saying that…obviously you don’t have any control over that, except not putting the train on your trip. All in all, I had a wonderful time..a great experience. Thank you.

The Trip of a Lifetime – Cleopatra’s Egypt with Timeless Tours We’ve just returned from the "Cleopatra's Egypt: Cairo, Alexandria & 5 Nile Cruise"* tour with Timeless Tours, and all we can say is: WOW. From the moment we inquired to the final goodbye, everything was flawless and unforgettable. Hany was a dream to deal with, super responsive, incredibly helpful, and genuinely caring. Every question (and we had a lot!) was answered with kindness, clarity, and patience. His support didn’t stop once we arrived either and he was always available if we needed anything during the tour. And then there’s Ramez, our Egyptologist, and quite possibly the best guide on the planet. His knowledge is unending and the way he shares it is passionate, clear, and engaging making every temple, tomb, and story come to life. Add to that his impeccable organization, warm demeanour, and genuine kindness, and you’ve got the gold standard of guiding. We’ve travelled extensively and can confidently say Ramez is the best guide we’ve ever had anywhere. The hotels were fantastic, the Nile cruise lovely and relaxing, the transport was modern, spotless, and comfortable, and every driver was professional and friendly. Even more impressive, they catered seamlessly to our dietary requirements (two vegans and a gluten-free vegan!), which is no small feat in a country where that can be very tricky, and it was during Ramadan. The itinerary was rich, well-paced (albeit full-on at times with early starts), and absolutely incredible! We highly, highly recommend adding on extra days and arranging through Timeless the optional Memphis & Dahshur, Saqqara, Abu Simbel, and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization tours, as well as Alexandria if it’s not already included in your itinerary. All are unforgettable highlights in their own right. The sleeper train was an experience we are glad we have! But if comfort and sleep are a priority, we’d recommend upgrading to flights between Cairo and Aswan/Luxor. As three women travelling together, we felt safe, respected, and well cared for at every step. This trip was incredible value for money, full of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and made exceptional by incredible people. We can’t wait to return to Egypt and when we do, without a doubt it’ll be with Timeless Tours again. 10/10. Highly, highly recommended!

Excellent tour and guide. The accommodation was great( resort and cruise) , meals were excellent (even though I don’t eat meat). Vegetarian and fish options were in abundance with excellent tastes. My mom and Aunty were old and couldn’t walk too fast, but they were accommodated. We saw so many great things , the itinerary was packed. Optional tours are too expensive, you really don’t need it just relax on the boat. The price doesn’t include tips. Additional $100 per person for tips mandatory. We extended our 7 day to a 10 day while on the trip and went with the group to hourghada (resort was brand new and awesome). I recommend the 10 day

Is there an opportunity to visit inside one of the pyramids during the Giza tour? Is it the new GEM museum that is visited? With the entrance fees and tipping kitty, do these need to be paid in USD and in cash at the start of the tour (or is GBP ok)? What is the recommended tips for the tour guides?

    • Timeless Tours OperatorWritten November 2025

Yes. There is an opportunity to visit inside one of the pyramids during the Giza tour. Yes. It's the GEM museum that is visited. It would be much better if you could hand the entrance fees and the tipping/kitty to your tour guide at the beginning of the tour in either USD or local currency. The recommended tip for the tour guide is about $5-8 per day.

Yes. It's possible to have the airport transfer from the Sphinx airport. If you're arriving on day 1 of the tour, we will arrange for your airport pick up at no extra cost. Do you offer tours to Sakkara and Old Cairo on this particular trip? If not, would you offer the tours on either the pre or post days?

    • Timeless Tours OperatorWritten August 2025

This tour doesn't include tours to Sakkara and Old Cairo. However, if you would have an exra day after the tour finishes, we can do a slight change the itinerary, having Sakkara added to the Pyramids tour on day 3 of the tour and keep day 8 of the tour for the Egyptian Museum and Old Cairo for an extra cost of USD $93.

    • Timeless Tours OperatorWritten August 2025

On day 3, we would be visiting Giza Pyramids and Saqqara. There won't be enough time for the Red Pyramid in Dahsure. We would start at about 8:00 am and the day tour would finish at about 4-5 pm.

If you upgrade the travel from Cairo to Aswan and from Luxor to Cairo you would have away much comfortable way to travel between these cities and save about 10-14 hours traveling on the sleeper train. In addition to having free evening in Cairo on day 3 and a free morning on day 8. The flight to Aswan takes place on day 3 at about 7 pm and would return to Cairo at about 7-8 pm on day 7.
