Our guide, Peter, was clearly used to dealing with International visitors and was adept at making a range of nationalities feel welcomed and at ease. His Egyptology training and knowledge shone through at many different times throughout the tour. The operator, Timeless Tours, did a great job looking after the group we joined - the hotels were comfortable and well appointed. All communications with the team were prompt and all of the information we needed was provided in a timely manner. A representative of the company was there to help us through immigration (something quite unique to Egypt in my experience!), and we always felt safe, supported and in good hands. From a logistics perspective, be aware that there will be a few early mornings - all totally worth it to get to the different temples and sites at the right times. Picking this tour in order to fly to Aswan (instead of bus), was also a decision we were very pleased with. Our only regret was that we didn’t take the optional Hot-air balloon ride: everyone from our group loved it. We had hoped to have a sleep-in instead, but in reality we still had to leave quite early as we collected the others as they landed and continued on with the tour from there (as opposed to them returning to the accommodation first!). We loved the Abu Simbel optional trip (well worth the early start). All in all - an excellent experience with a great local tour operator.

We had Peter who was excellent. A lot of very early mornings (2am, 3am etc) so be prepared for that. Felt like you got a lot for what you pay.

Given the high temperatures, we could have started our days earlier to get there before the heat kicked in. For example we got to Petra at 11- it was so hot. Our guide, Abdullah could have told us things on the bus instead of at the site which meant there was more time to make it up the monastery we wanted

The days have some pretty early start times, which makes sense given how hot it gets by the middle of the day. We were done seeing most of the sites by 9am. Having read previous reviews I knew going in that we would have some early mornings, so I was prepared. Would recommend bringing a few protein bars for those early mornings where breakfast is essentially a box of various breads - they were a lifesaver especially when lunch was later in the day. Our bus drivers and transportation from the airport were excellent. I felt like VIP having someone from the tour meet me at the airport to take care of obtaining a visa. The Oasis Hotel, like many of the previous reviews, was dated and could have been cleaner. The breakfast was alright, but the other items on the menu to order were pretty good - especially the lentil soup and grilled chicken. The nile cruise (Nile Crocodile) was great. The staff was excellent. The rooms were big and clean. The pool though was a bit old and could use some updating. The food was OK - some meals were pretty good, others just alright. The kanafa was amazing. Would highly recommend the flight upgrade to Aswan. The hot air balloon ride in Luxor was one of the highlights of the trip! It would have been nice to have one more day in Hurghada so you can relax one day and snorkel/scuba dive the other day. Overall, it was a great tour. Everyone was very friendly. Would highly recommend timeless tours.

Our 9 days Nile Jewel tour was fantastic! We marvelled at the grandeur and history of ancient Egypt. Our guide Peter, took very good care of us and we learned a lot from him. He was excellent!

In large part thanks to our amazing tour guide, Peter (Botrous Helmy) His passion for the history and treasures of his country is incredible. He looked after us all with great care, and shared his vast knowledge of the sites and the history behind it all. Most of all his awesome sense of humour made the trip one of great fun, and friendship.
Our whole group adored Peter and i hope to tour with him again in the future.

Oasis hotel- our first room smelled unbelievable of cat urine and we had to be switched. The second room’s bathroom was moldy and flooded any time we showered. The second room’s bathroom was moldy and flooded any time we showered. The pool was “broken,” the gym was only open 9-5...who on holiday is in the hotel at that time? The staff was completely unresponsive or argumentative, particularly after we were given a bottle of wine that had turned to vinegar from being left open.
The tour bus bathrooms were nearly always locked, completely filthy and lacking toilet paper.
The Nile Cruise ship was ancient. I had to turn the mattress on the bed and stuff the decorative pillows under the mattress so as to level it out. The carpet floors were covered in other people’s hair and other things that I care not to think about. The bathroom smelled terrible, was moldy, and did not have a vent fan to dry. The shower flooded the entire bathroom any time it was turned on. 2 packets of shampoo were all that was provided for toiletries, I brought my own, but expect to have hand soap available. Every single cup and plate I touched was chipped, cracked or broken. The “gym” consisted of one rack of hand weights and 2 ancient benches. The sun deck carpets also appeared to never have been cleaned. Once again, we ordered wine that had been opened and turned to vinegar. Neither my husband nor I felt clean the entire time we were on that ship.
Hurgada was a different story. Meals were great. The room was clean and comfortable, the pools were nice, the staff was considerate. Hours of the gym were still crap, but all things considered, it was pretty nice. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to that location.
The tour: I chose this tour for value and for the historical sites on the itinerary. However, there was not enough time allotted to actually see the temples/tombs/museum. I came to Egypt with a solid understanding of the history of Ancient Egypt what we would see. Peter’s tour lacked any substantive information and I came home with no more knowledge than I arrived with, with the exception this - now I know not to book tours with Timeless Tours. He rushed us through sites. Yammered endlessly (and sometimes incorrectly) about this or that, and the gave us 30 min, or if we were lucky 1 hour to see the sites. At the pyramids of Giza we had 30 minutes at Khufu’s pyramid, drive directly past Khafre’s to the panoramic lookout, had 5 minutes there to “take photos,” got back on the bus to drive to the camel ride retrieval point at Menkaure’s pyramid. He said “you have 10 minutes” at that point I ran Menkaure’s pyramid and stood there sobbing as I realized that this person has no respect for me or my time, and I was stuck with him for the REST of the tour. Directly after, that he had no trouble forcing us to sit through a staged perfume sales pitch for an hour...
Another failure was the 30 minutes allowed at Karnak Temple. Seriously?! We barely saw 1/3rd of that temple. And I snuck away during is inane ramblings.
The worst failure in my opinion was the Egyptian Museum. After taking us to the 6 items that were deemed “most important” we were released to see the other 11,994 items on display...and were given 1 hour. Of which he said “one hour is PLENTY of time.”
Anyone who is worth a salt in true Egyptology knows 4 hours isn’t enough, and 3 days might get you through most of it. But again, clearly he had no respect for the participants of this tour. So we flew through the museum only spending 5 minutes in Akhenaten’s dislplay, who is such an interesting historical figure and deserves more, just so we could see a little under half.
Our time was so unimportant to Peter that instead of giving briefings on locations that we were headed to while we are ON the bus traveling, he said nothing. He refused to collect funds while we were traveling also, resulting in MORE wasted time. At one point, Peter said “if you are one minute late we will leave you and you will have to find your own way back”. It was horribly unprofessional, and simply the icing on the completely unacceptable and unprofessional cake. There were times I felt like I was a hostage to his whims, and the only time I found joy was when I snuck away to find the things I felt were important and weren’t just good photo opportunities. Unfortunately my husband had to sacrifice himself and stay with the group so that he could text me what time the meeting time was. It was a terrible experience. He is clearly not the Egyptologist that I was promised while booking.

One thing I didn't like- 14 hour overnight bus drive. If possible, choose plane instead as it is a regular bus and it gets very uncomfortable.

The whole experience can be described with words such as "Amazing!" & "Safe". There were no issues, even though my government website says it is not safe to travel to Egypt. These tour guides are locals and know everything, that there is to know about. I traveled with my girlfriend and we both enjoyed it a lot. There are ATM's everywhere, to withdraw cash, we didn't even take any local Egyptian pounds with us. Pharmacies can be easily reached, we just let our tour guide know and he helped us to get to them (to buy proper shampoo, sun cream etc).
During our 9 days we traveled most of Egypt with no problems, great sight seeings!
We wish we had bit more sleep and time to go around the market areas, but overall experience rating on 5 scale would be five out of five!

Our guide Peter was brilliant, he made sure we were safe at all times and never had a problem if we needed to stop and get water, snacks or money from ATM. The group was also lovely and it was nice to be able to share the experience with others.
Food could have been slightly better, it would have been nice to experience more traditional food.
Overall the trip was above what we were expecting, Egypt is an amazing country and we can´t wait to return!

The guide Peter was fantastic, he really went above and beyond to look after us! I think it is important for anyone going to Egypt to understand that tourism has been down in Egypt over the last 5-10 years and the country is in poverty. All of the accommodation on this tour is dated, the linen is old and often dirty, the facilities are run down and the food is average at best. In particular the Oasis hotel is terrible, there were four of us on the tour who changed our accommodation on the last day so that we did not have to return here. Remember that in Egypt you get what you pay for. The tour itself is well organised,Egypt is a huge country and all of the sites are far apart. You will have 3/4am starts for at least 4 days during the trip, you will also spend an average of 6 hours on the bus each day. Make sure you upgrade to the flight to Aswan, DO NOT TAKE THE BUS. Trust me it is worth the money. If you have cash to spare you may also consider taking a flight from Hurghada to Cairo at the end of the trip. We found out half way through the tour that you could do a 10 day version of this tour with an extra day in Hurghada, we asked to extend our tour which they were happy to do. Its worth the extra day to relax and recuperate on the beach. Some tips for you: make sure you go to Abu Simbel, why come to Egypt and not go. On that note you will have opportunities to buy extra tickets to take photos at 2 sites (Abu Simbel and the Valley of the Kings) these tickets cost $20 Australian and can be shared between a family or two/three people. Most people on our trip were too tight to buy this and most regretted it after. What's an additional $10 each after you have paid for flights and accommodation? You will also need to pay extra to enter the great pyramid, Tutankhamen's tomb and to see the mummies at the museum. $50 Australian per person max, just pay the damn money! For part of the tour(flight from Cairo to Aswan) we had Peter and on our last day we had Michael as our guides, both were excellent and we were very happy with their service as they were clear on instructions and spoke clearly.
We couldn't fault our operations manager Hany, super efficient and professional.

All of the entry fees should be offered to be paid up front or included in the package. It was frustrating to have to keep pulling money out of ATM with very high fees. We should be able to pay with credit card or PayPal. We all paid way more than expected because we had to pay cash from ATM machines and that isn’t fair.
Other than that.... Our trip was great and I would recommend it!

This time, we decided to give it a try by using this tour service and it was beyond our expectations. We felt like this trip was where we actually see the real depth culture of Egypt. During that trip, we learned so many things regarding the ancient histories, cultures, foods and so much more.
Everything about this trip was organized, from the arrival at the airport to the end of the trip. We felt so safe and relaxed. We even forgot what day was it. We truly enjoyed our time on this tour, we felt that we were more focused on learning about the ancient history rather than worrying about the small details such as transportation, fees and etc.
There are two feedbacks that we would like to share; firstly, the meals that they've provided were not the best, there were some days that food was amazing but some days were not. We strongly recommend you to bring your own snacks during the trip. Secondly, do NOT take the overnight bus from Cairo to Aswan, it does not worth it. It will take a toll on your sleep and schedule.
Other than that, the tour was an incredible and depth experience for both of us. We will not replace anything for this amazing trip. We absolutely loved Peter as our tour guide, he always checked on us to make sure that if we have any questions. We love his presence and his laugh. He truly loves what he does.

The trip was amazing! From the valley of the kings to the camel rides. Peter made sure that everything was well organized and we didn't have to worry about anything. Having Peter as guide not only put me at ease knowing all had been thought out but also, changed my perspective in organized tours, as i rarely employ them in my travels.
Peter was very knowledgeable. He covered a great deal of information on history, traditions, archaeology, religion, current events and any curious question/inquiry thrown at him from first time visitors trying to make sense of all Egypt has to offer.
Other than a great professional and archaeologist, Peter was very social-able, relate-able, easy going, patient and ready to provide any help though-out the tour not limited to medications, broken phone repairs and hookah suggestions. Worth stating is how thoughtful Peter was in providing tips/suggestions to us in situations where he knew we'd be taken advantage being visitors (mostly in shopping situations etc.); this gave great insight at his good-natured persona and as how much he cared to be of service.
I have the best of memories from my tour with Peter, which only has made me more eager to visit Egypt again and also more keen to employing tour guides in future travels for their professionalism and knowledge.

He even went above-and-beyond to help my husband haggle a better price for his shisha-vase, arranged for my 7 year old to ride up front in the transport because she reeeally wanted to, helped me located the only soy milk bottle in Cairo ...and honestly, a hundred other things I couldn’t even list.
The professionalism, and care were World Class, and we absolutely appreciate all the effort.

There was so much to cover, and see, and enjoy, & he kept us so well informed and aware of what was happening at each stage.
During the whole 9 days we never felt rushed, or uncertain about what was happening or where we were off to next. He even went above and beyond to help us with individual little things, like haggling with a vendor to help us buy a shisha vase, or arranging to let our 7 year old sit up front for many of the trips.
He was ALWAYS available to answer any question, he really was second to none in the detailed and quality care he showed to us all.
I would (and have) recommend his tour to every wonderful person I know.

I could not imagine my Egypt tour with any other tour guide. Peter clearly has shown his experience as a tour guide and this was shown throughout the tour with his knack for problem solving and think…I could not imagine my Egypt tour with any other tour guide. Peter clearly has shown his experience as a tour guide and this was shown throughout the tour with his knack for problem solving and thinking on his feet, he has a great sense of humour and interacts respectfully with people on the tour.
Always engaged with the tour group as a whole and he manages pressure and stress well as not once did I see him crack other pressure.
He has a love for his country and this shows through the information and historical content communicated to us during the tour.
He is consistent with his approach with everyone on tour and constantly ask each individual if they are ok.
Even after the tour group has checked in for the night you can see Peter continuing still, hard at work, working in the background.
Egypt has a lot to offer than most countries and Peter manages and covers the logistics of the tour very well and articulates the information required perfectly for the group.

Seriously - one of the best tours I've ever been on! Timeless Tours did an amazing job (especially at the price) and our guides Peter and George were absolutely phenomenal. For those concerned about safety, as a single female I never once felt unsafe in Egypt thanks to Timeless Tours. All the sites were incredible, and it was nice to be given both explanations of what we were seeing and free time to explore the sites ourselves. Also highly recommend booking the Abu Simbel, Hot Air Balloon and Snorkeling optional extras, as well as the felucca option. The only downsides to me was the food (often a "breakfast box" of bread rolls and sandwiches to eat on the bus) and the overnight bus trip (ours was brutal... but at least we saved money). Other than that, you cannot go wrong with Timeless Tours. I would definitely book the same trip again!

A good trip but could be improved. Our hotel, Jaz Pyramids, was in Giza 1 hour from the airport which makes sense for its proximity to the pyramids but not such a good idea for returning to the airpor…A good trip but could be improved. The food throughout the trip was very good.
Naturally, the sights were what went for and they didn't disappoint. Highlights were the valley of the kings where you must pay extra to go into the tomb of Tutankhamen but it's worth it.
The route to Sakkara follows a canal which is just miles of discarded litter which is truly disgusting. The same route takes you to Dahshur and Memphis.
Cairo airport is chaotic but our guide helped us through it to Aswan. Our cruise on Lady Carol was better than we expected. The accommodation and food were really good. Those who choose the extra trip to Abu Simbel enjoyed the trip but didn't like getting up at 3am to get there. It seemed that our departure was maybe delayed until they returned. Luxor and Karnak were great but because the boat arrived later than expected a lot was crammed into our time in Luxor.
We were "upgraded" to all inclusive at the Gravity hotel. It was much better than we expected. For a large all inclusive the food was varied plentiful and a good quality. It was very windy and the balloon flight and snorkeling trips were cancelled for safety reasons

The minute we stepped off the plane the Timeless experience kicked into gear, their agent who met us in the baggage hall and delt with the Visa formalities and shepherded us safely through the throng of Cairo traffic to the Jaz Pyramids Resort in an air conditioned minibus, at the hotel sim cards for our phones and local currency were arranged effortlessly for us. We were a small group who quickly became friends and Peter our guide our friend was attentive to the needs of each guest and always went the extra mile to ensure we all had a a fantastic experience while we were in Egypt.
All the accommodation on our trip was absolutely fantastic including massive rooms / suites on the Nile Bride cruise ship. There was only one exception, the Sleeper train is a bit dated. Overall Wonderful trip Thanks to Timeless Tours and its Crew

Let me break it down. Our tour guide PETER, was easy to communicate to (instructions and others), honest and firm - he knows what he is talking about. The hotels - some were very very good, one just good. But like what I said, for the price we paid, I think I shouldn't complain. We had buffet breakfast, some lunch and dinner. We had an all inclusive Hurghada stay. Trust me when I say I gained some kilos there. The tour to the temples are organized and timed in a way we won't die from the heat. The only place I didn't enjoy was the Egyptian Museum which doesn't have much to see considering most of the artefacts were being transferred to the new museum and are in Britain, Vienna etc. It made me sad for them really. The transportation was comfortable apart from the van transport from Hurgharda to Cairo which might be due to the long distance sitting/sleeping.
We went to an essence shop and the lady there was so pushy. We told her this is what we want but she kept on insisting to get another, then she called a colleague to persuade us further. I didn't enjoy that at all. We stick to what we want but the bargaining process was annoying. If not for my husband who step up for me, I could have just cancelled the entire order.
The group was very diverse and we had a good time interacting to everyone. The tipping culture is a mess but that was beyond the organizers powers, so just be aware.

Our driver in Jordan Kahlid, was also well organised and we were surprised how all meals were included in our Jordan tour.
The food was all buffet, so plenty of choices. The accommodation was good. Buses and car were comfortable.
The tour in Jordan was not as per the itinerary we received, so perhaps worth updating their trip notes accordingly.

Egypt; honnestly its safe to travel, i was a solo traveler and feel safe ( of course didnt did nothing crazy and was respectful of the culture) i really think its the best time to visit since its not full full tourist yet … egypt is an super place to visit; history 10/10, learn other culture , crazy blue aqua beach with colorful fish and dolphins, big choose of activities, really nice people … all of that reallyyyy really cheappp

There was nothing left to question or have concern about. Before coming to Egypt, we had concerns about personal safety but that concern was quickly dispelled.
Peter was our main tour guide and he was incredible. His interest in his country was infectious. He knows the history of the places we went and shared so many interesting facts about them. His experience showed in how he kept the group together and on track. I feel very grateful to have had this experience with Peter leading it. He was very alert to his group as to how we were doing or if we had any questions. He was friendly, personable and caring.
I wish I could express how personally impacting this experience was. I was completely and pleasantly surprised as to how easy the 10 days were, how completely organized the tour was, how taken care of I felt, etc. I have absolutely no complaints about the tour.
I have already recommended this tour to friends who are thinking about going and that includes single women friends. If a woman wants to travel Egypt and is concerned about her safety, this is the way to do it.

Our guide Peter was more than amazing, nothing was too much trouble. He dealt with any problems smoothly, went over and above to accommodate everyone in the group all with a smile on his face and a great sense of humour. The group age range was from 23-74 and worked really well.
Things to be aware of - the accommodation is rated 4* local standard NOT western so don't expect the Ritz, allow enough money to pay for the extra excursions (information is available on the site) and know that you can extend your trip either side of the organised tour to do extra activities which the tour operators are more than happy to help organise. Keep small notes of Egyptian currency for the loo and expect to be hassled by street vendors. None of the latter paragraph are negatives just things to know! I highly recommend this tour (I am solo female traveller and wasn't the only one in the group and felt completely safe at all times) .

Itinerary: Perfect combination of active and relaxing moments, made us explore Cairo, Upper Egypt, Luxor, the Red Sea, the Pyramids and so much more. Some very early mornings but definitely worth it! Sunrise and sunsets in Egypt are unbeatable.
Accomodation: Good overall. Some hotels are more rustic than others so don't expect anything more than basics.
Guide: Excellent. Peter made our trip an unforgettable experience. He is very knowledgeable, always accomodating and caring. He is making this tour excellent!
Food: Overall good buffet food, the options could be more varied.
Transport: Upgraded for the flight to Aswan and the small bus we've used touring around was great, such as the drivers.
As a solo woman traveller, I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!

First and foremost, this was our first trip to Egypt for my wife and I, and I would absolutely reccomend Timeless Tours. In fact, we are already planning to come back with family. We did the 14 day Egypt Highlights tour, and we had 3 guides; Navien (I hope its spelled right) who was our guide in Alexandria, Peter was our main guide through Egypt, and Summer who was our guide when we arrived back in Cairo from Hurghada. All 3 of them were absolutely amazing. Very personal, very easy to get along with- truly made the experience! Thank you so much!
Now for the overall rundown for anyone coming to Egypt for the first time- be open minded! When you read the brochure- you notice things are labeled 3,4 and 5 star. Well if you are from America- it's not the same star rating scale. Our resort in Cairo- The Oasis was very nice. Our room was great and the service was stellar. That being said, it is a bit outdated (by American standards) so expect a 2 star stay from the American point of view. The 5 star cruise on the Nile- our ship was the Nile Crocodile and again not 5 stars on the American scale. It too is a bit outdated, but it was still nice. It's more of a 2-3 star on the American scale. However the food was great, Service was great and the views if the Nile were spectacular! Our resort in Hurghada- Samra Bay, was listed as 4 stars- and to be honest it really was 4 stars on the American scale! A beautiful location with a private beach and 2 pools. There is even a small strip with a couple stores on it, just for the resort guests. Now we went in April, so they were still doing some construction but you really don't notice it unless you are looking for it. While in Hurghada, if you have a couple days- you must go snorkeling on the reef and you must visit the Hurghada Grand Aquarium.
Overall- all of our accommodations were great! Clean rooms, good food, good service and honestly- who comes to visit Egypt for the hotel rooms anyway right.
Egypt is nothing like it is portrayed on American TV. You hear on American news that you need to worry about terrorism and pick-pockets and that is isn't really safe for tourists but that simply just isnt the truth. My wife and I felt 100% safe, and had no issues walking around on our own- day or night. The biggest thing you need to be worried about is did you bring enough spending money and enough sunscreen!
Do's and Dont's if you are planning a trip to Egypt with Timeless Tours:
Do:
Expect to spend about 650 Egyptian pounds per person for the tipping kitty. Roughly 42 US dollars per person.
Expect to pay 150 to 200 Egyptian pounds per person for meals not included in your package. Roughly 9-13 US dollars per meal. Also, drinks are not included, so expect 20-50 Egyptian pounds per person for drinks. Roughly 1-3 US dollars.
Expect to be bombarded at almost every monument/temple by local vendors. They will hand you things, put things on your head, tell you it's free or it's a gift- nothing in Egypt is free. If you don't want to be bothered by the locals trying to sell you things- simply tell them No Thank You- La Shukran, and keep walking! If you do decide you want to buy something- haggle for the price. Offer at least 50% of what they ask for. Example- if they say 50 Egyptian pounds- offer 20-25 and go from there.
Tipping at the bathroom/wash center (WC). It is a local custom to tip the attendant at the bathroom, however you don't have to. For example- if they provide toilet paper for you and are cleaning the bathroom- tip 5-10 Egytian pounds. If they are just standing there asking for money but not doing anything- don't tip them. Pro tip- bring your own paper with you. I also recommend bringing plenty of baby wipes. Use your judgment and be fair- remember they live on almost no pay and rely on tourism to survive.
If you need anything or have any issues- tell or ask your guide. They are there to aid you in the ways of Egyptian life and customs- so ask them. Don't let an issue become larger than it needs to be.
I reccomend bringing about 1,000 US dollars per person for spending money, additional food/snacks and drinks.
Do take advantage of the additional options- go to Abu Simbel, do the Hot Air balloon ride, go snorkeling- you won't regret any of them! My wife and I did them and it cost roughly an additional 250 US dollars.
Do bring an additional 90-100 US dollars for the Covid PCR screening that you will need to get in Egypt so that you can come back to the US.
So remember that 1,000 US dollars per person I mentioned bringing for spending money- that is enough to cover everything and the additional stuff mentioned and still have money left over.
If you need to get additional money while on your trip- your guide will tell you which ATM to use. We used Banque Misr- which is the national bank of Egypt for our money exchanges.
Dont's:
Don't drink the tap water!!! Showering and brushing teeth with it is fine- but your non-egyptian stomach won't be able to handle drinking the tap water. We brought Grayl Geopress filter water bottles and had no problems- but don't drink the tap water straight out.
Don't take the horse carrage ride up to Edfu temple- its not safe to do it and if you don't believe-ask your guide.
Don't hesitate to buy something. If you see something you like, buy it. You may not see the same item again on your trip.
Don't buy silver/gold unless you are in an actual jewelry shop or you get it from the vendor on the cruise ship (while in Luxor). Also- make sure it has the Egyptian government stamp- or its not real.
Don't dress like you are going to a club or in tight work out gear. No short shorts/short dresses. Remember, Egypt is primarily Muslim and Orthodox Christian- so be a bit conservative. Unless you are on the beach in Hurghada- then your bathing suit is fine, but otherwise dress a bit conservative.
Don't expect things to be like they are in America/Canada or any other 1st world country. You are in Egypt, so be mindful of culture and be respectful and have an open mind.
Other than that we had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning- booking Timeless Tours as our guide. Hopefully this review was thorough and helps you first time Egypt visitors with what to expect. Remember that your experience will be what you make it- so stay open minded and your experience will be great like ours was.

I realize these are tough times and although it was disappointing to miss the 3 night Nile cruise, we did not miss a site and they all made our trip as good as it could be. The hotels in Aswan, Luxor were great and although the Hurghada hotel was good, it could use some improvement on the menu side, getting hot water and repair to the beach furniture. Also, the internet did not work well in each hotel. The Oasis in Cairo is not 4*, although it has amenities and inice grounds. On our 5 days of return back to Cairo, we switched to the Ramses Hilton for the same price with internet, albeit without breakfast. Several other 5* hotels were available for the same price, however the good price might have been due to Covid. Now is the perfect time to see Egypt due to no crowds !

Our guide Peter was fantastic, giving clear instructions and useful information without overwhelming you with history. As I had a different itinerary (which Timeless was very flexible to accommodate), i had different tour guides in Alexandria and the city tour, who are also highly recommended.
As for the itinerary, I understand the early wake up calls and packed days, to avoid crowds and the searing heat. Perhaps one suggestion would have been to include Abu Simbel instead of just being an optional excursion.

There were some early morning starts and late days. You get a lot covered. Plus there are optional excursions such as Hot air balloon ride, Nubian dinner (which was such a good experience!) Accomodations were top notch and food was great! No complaints at all. Transfers to and from airport at your time of arrival was seamless. Our tour guide for the group, Peter, was so well informed with Egypt's history and places to go and see, I would have wanted to hire him as a personal tour guide if allowed. Variety of accommodations was refreshing. From hotel to Nile Cruise ship to a really cool place in Dahab to relax by the sea. Although February might be the coldest time of the year there, it was pleasant for me, not too hot during the day so you can explore comfortably. I swam in pleasant temp. water. The people that I dealt with during my stay as well as the employees for Timeless tours were always available for you; friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Thank you.

It was the only bad experience of the tour. Another must is Abu Simbel. It shouldn’t be an optional. It is one of the most incredible places on Earth! Should be considered a world wonder!
First of all.....this tour was AMAZING. It was way more than I expected in terms of safety, ground covered, and education and Egypt and it's history. I cannot express enough how great my entire group, both tour guides (Peter and George) and all of the amazing attractions/experiences were. It has been been the trip of a lifetime! I would definitely recommend opting in for the hot air balloon ride, Felucca sail instead of the river cruise, camel rides by the pyramids AND going diving, as the Red Sea is some of the best diving to be had in the world. It was my first time diving and now I want to do it over and over again. All of the transportation, including that of your taxi to the airport on your last day is included, all of your lodging is included. Most food is included although, we really didn't have a lot of time to eat as we were constantly on the move. (I would recommend bringing/buying snacks.) I only have one complaint and that is that we didn't have more time to cover all of the ground we did cover, from Cairo to Aswan to Luxor to Hughada, and then back to Cairo. I am not being dramatic when I say you will be EXHAUSTED. But it is so worth it! Things I forgot to bring that I now wish I had are sunscreen and bugspray. Definitely bring baby wipes or toilet paper everywhere you stop. You will need it because a lot of places don't supply it as well as charging you a fee literally anywhere you go to the washroom. Always bring a few E- pounds when you go! I think that's it, hope this is helpful!!!

All in all, it was an interesting trip. On the long overnight bus drive (13hrs) from Cairo to Aswan, we basically froze as the bus temperature went from 22°C to 12°C. The bus driver didn’t want condensation to form as he can see through. However, we got offered an additional hotel night instead of an overnight bus drive back from Hurghada to Cairo.
I didn’t find the Alexandria worth the money, but to each his/her own.

What was supposed to be three nights on the Nile river turned into two as cruise ship after cruise ship became stuck in the mud on Christmas Day. Peter and the other tour guides not only continued our tour to the Aswan Dam and Philae Temple then found the whole tour group of 89 people needing 40+ rooms a hotel that fed us and put us up for the night. The next day on our way to Abu Simbel the bus broke down in the middle of the desert. While we waited 4 hours for a replacement Peter still kept us safe and brought us to our destination taught us about the history of the temple and had on the cruise ship and back on schedule that had been interrupted by back to back unexpected delays. Peter is a great host for your tour he will watch over all of your needs and when something doesn't go as planned he rolls with the punches and gets you back on track. I wish we had a reason to visit Egypt again just to visit with him but living half a world away and wanting to go to as many places as possible I don't see that happening. So thank god for Facebook.

I have never been one to do tours but since my family was very apprehensive of me traveling to Egypt and I had some personal hesitations I began searching tours so that I could experience this beautiful country. The staff at Timeless Tours was great. Right from my first contact, Hany was responding to any enquiry that I had and did so very quickly. I felt that I was in great hands even before I left home. This continued throughout the entire tour. We were met at the airport and assisted through customs/immigration without any hitches and that was fantastic. On our group meeting night we learned that there were a couple of versions of our tour that we hadn't noticed when we booked and we wanted to make some changes. Timeless Tours was quick to accommodate our requested changes and we greatly appreciated it.
The tour hit almost all of the highlights of things that you will want to see when you visit Egypt. We did a few of the Optional Tours. I would highly recommend the Abu Simbel addition to your tour! The variety of transportations and accommodations we had were great. Everywhere we stayed was clean with amazingly friendly and helpful people. We felt safe and very looked after every step of the way. Our tour guide was Peter and he took great care of us! Our group that we had was great and Peter added to this dynamic and everyone got along and we all had a fun time! I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

At one point there was three separate groups doing what they were interested in. We had people coming and going, individually tailored day trips. Extra drivers. New flights within 24 hr notice to the company. Egypt itself is amazing and there were no issues at all. If things were sketchy security showed up to watch over us. I worked in Afghanistan and honestly Egypt is no more dangerous then the USA. Police are everywhere. The monuments. Won't comment on you need to see them for yourself.

I loved the balance between down time and action packed days and was super happy with the ground we covered. Having seen and experienced a large part of Egypt in 9 days has truly been an experience. The transport was comfortable which made the long trips so much easier. The accommodation was good, with a special nod to the two nights at the resort in Hurghada. This was definitely a trip I will not easily forget. Thanks so much to Peter for steering the ship that was our adventure and turning Egypt into a sort of home.

However, there were some issues with the accommodation, especially on the bout. The rooms were not very clean, we hadn't enough towels in the room. One day our towels (we were 2 persons in the room) were replaced with only 1 that was wet and not really clean. And at least the water could be for free. Regarding the the itinerary of our trip it was intense, but that was really good as we managed to see many many wonderful placed, that will remain for good in my memory and heart. Thank you a lot for that!!!

The hotel in Cairo, Oasis, was ok. The cruise, Nile Quest, and the hotel in Hurghada had very dirty bathrooms. 1/5 of the tour group got sick by the end of the tour. One must bear in mind that Egypt is afterall a third world country. Overall, Tourrader and Peter did a good job organizing the tours.

The 15 day tour really consisted of the 10 day tour with 5 day's added on. The 10 days were with Peter our guide and 20 other fabulous people. The accommodation was fine with the odd thing not working but good enough. The coach was clean and the driver was safe.
Then it was off to Dahab by myself and just as well. I don't think most of the other tour would have handled the next, very basic hotel, Star of Dahab.Yes it is on the beach but no pool, no toiletries, no cleaning done for five days, very basic breakfast and a hard bed. The redeeming feature was the diving and snorkeling. Amazing.
The main reason I went to Dahab was to climb Mt Sinai and visit St Catherines monastery. Leaving Dahab at 11.45 pm does not give enough time for someone who is moderately fit to climb the mountain in time for the sunrise which is at 4.50 am this time of year. What was really disappointing was to find out that the monastery was closed that day.
Overall I would recommend Timeless tours and would use them again. The last part was a glitch and I am sure the guys who own the business will remedy this in the near future.

My girlfriend and I booked this tour through a company in the UK and were unsure of how the whole trip would run. We have had mixed experiences with tours in the past.
This tour turned out to be one of the best we have been on across the globe. Our tour guide Peter (Botrous Helmy) was extremely accommodating, very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable and safe along the entire tour. Anything we needed Peter would sort for us, whether it was special dietary requirements, bottles of water etc... We became very close with our fellow travelers and have since kept in touch, and I believe this is down to Peter being such a great host.
The tour itself was incredible. There is a LOT to see within 8 days so lots of early starts and late finishes. Despite traveling to temples in a Muslim country, Peter assured us that while we were on the tour we could in fact wear whatever clothes we chose to wear, whatever we felt comfortable in. This was a relief to many of the girls who didn't fancy covering up in the Egyptian heat.
One thing to note is that Egypt is a 'tipping' country, everyone tips everyone there. With Peter we decided to all give 200 Egyptian pounds (£10) to him, and then Peter would tip all of the restaurants, drivers, hotel staff etc... across the whole week, which meant one less thing for us to worry about.
I highly recommend taking the optional excursion to Abu Simblel, that was the most incredible experience of my life and I am so happy I didn't miss out on that. Nubian dinner was ok, probably not worth the £20 or so we paid for it but traveling down the Nile by boat with 40 other young travelers was a priceless experience. Scuba/snorkeling in the Red Sea is a must! If you have the option to take a flight (extra £100) rather than the overnight bus, I would probably do that. The overnight bus was not a sleeper bus, so 16 hours in upright seats was not the best experience by a long shot. Also, mosquito spray, lots of it. Whether you are on the cruise or Felucca (anywhere on the Nile) you will be bitten.
The one thing I would say that would make the tour slightly better would be if the temple entrance fees were included in the initial cost. On a daily basis we were paying for 2-3 temples, which were very cheap and worth every penny, but if they were included in the tour price it would be one less thing to worry about. Peter again was very helpful with this and if we didn't have money, he mentioned we could pay him back at a later date, and never pressured us to do anything. One of the best tour guides I have come across!

It was a very busy week but we were able to see a lot of the classic sights in Egypt. We would have preferred that the small entry fees to the temples etc be included in the price, just to save the hassle everyday but understand the price needs to be competitive.
Collecting cash at the start of the trip to take care of tipping was a great idea.
The quality of the hotels was good, particularly for the low price of the tour.
For the diving in Hurghada it would have been better to make the distinction between first time and certified divers but the crew managed to accommodate those of us with experience at the last minute.
Overall a fantastic trip which I have recommended to my friends. Thanks Peter!

Their explanations and knowledge of their country and the tourist sites was top notch. We went a few years ago in December and it was very pleasant. We felt very safe. I highly recommend them.

The whole experience was amazing. From the time we arrived to the moment we left we were taken care of and assisted with anything we needed. Given we had not been to Egypt before, we did not know what to expect.
The tour guides, Mostafa, Peter and George were exceptional. They went out of their way at any time of day to assist us and made sure our time there was a good as it could be. They provided us with all the information we needed about local culture, customs and of course their rich history. Guides are extremely knowledgeable on their history and it is terrific to see them present it with such passion and endless enthusiasm.
The hotels were very adequate, however they were not at the same standard we would expect in countries such as the UK, USA and Australia. Saying this, all hotels provided suitable accommodation for the 10 days we were there. Some hotels were a little dirty (dusty etc) but I guess you have to expect that given it is a desert and dusting and sweeping would be a 24hour a day job. All hotels had a clean bed and were very spacious.
The food provided along the way was mostly traditional Egyptian food which can be very dry (imo). Again it fed us and we were fine. I would suggest to those who are not adventurous with food to take your own snacks along...such as nuts, dried fruit, muesli bars etc....just to tide you over.
Also a good idea to take a roll of toilet paper with you in your day bag as toilets don't have any. Some toilets at tourist attractions have attendants and you pay on your way in (1LE) and they give you a small piece of tp. However it may not be enough and to avoid the embarrassment of asking for more I recommend you take your own along.
I strongly recommend anyone who goes on the tour to do the Nubian Dinner option. It is well worth it and it gives you a taste of 'real life' on the Nile. Loved it!
Can't speak highly enough of all aspects of the tour..... If you go in with an opened mind and no expectations you will NOT be disappointed.....DO IT!
