An unforgettable experience from 3 generations family of 6, in a group of 15 travelers!
Our tour guide, Egyptologist Mina Magdy, was knowledgeable, patient, helpful, professional, and personable.
He has a vast knowledge of Egyptian history with a beautiful positive energy. He was always extremely communicative and informative. He made it easy to connect with our fellow group members. The group itself was comprised of people from all over the world, who were awesome.
We had an amazing time and felt pampered and safe during the entire trip.
Mina surprised me on my 70th birthday with a cake, gifts, and a group celebration. I felt so special!
The trip itinerary was perfect. We saw as much as we could in 9 days, which included a great mix of activities complimenting themselves perfectly – visiting ancient Egyptian historical sites: Alexandria, GEM, Pyramids/Giza, temples in Luxor and Aswan, Abu Simbel. Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor! Hot air ballooning in Luxor! And finishing the trip with Cave Church and St. Simone Monastery in Cairo. We made a few interesting stops to the papyrus, cottons, perfumes/oils, and alabaster shops, where we learned the manufacturing process and bought amazing gifts for friends and family at home.
The accommodations and the food were excellent!
It was a trip of a lifetime! I will remember all the people and experiences the rest of my life.

The tour itself was filled with culture, knowledge and had a very exciting itinerary! The accommodation and transportation were very comfortable.

Jessica started feeling a bit ill and when Mina found out he immediately started freeing what could be done for her. I’d have no idea where to turn and he helped greatly allowing Jessica to enjoy her trip. I noticed that after that Mina seemed to be looking out for jessica and her health. I won’t forget that. As far as Egyptian history goes i was so impressed with Minas knowledge and ability to explain it to us. There were so many names and dates he stated i can’t remember,but, now that i’m home if i see shows on tv or print i’ll be able to relate easier thinking back about what he said. I really appreciated the fact Mina was there if i had any questions regarding what we had seen or of travel plans. He really made my trip quite enjoyable. Thank you “King” Mina!

They even help me with booking a trip to Hurgada after we finished the 10 day tour.

Was only a small group of 5, yet we had many laughs along the way and all got on. Stops like the Essential Oil place is Aswan was good (Lettuce Oil 😂) as well as the Spices Place and just other little things along the way all made the experience worth wild (from celebrating birthdays on the tour, to taking a Uber to a Jewel

It was a fantastic itinerary and it was amazing that we were able to see so many things in multiple cities in a relatively short amount of time without feeling in any way rushed. Everyone at Timeless Tours is a consummate professional and we were taken care of from the moment we arrived in Egypt to the moment we left. Our guide, Mina, was superb. Of all of the tour guides we’ve had over the years (and there have been many) I can easily say he was the best. From the moment we met him to the moment he made sure we safely departed, it was an absolute pleasure getting to spend 5 days with him. He is incredibly knowledgeable as an Egyptologist and made navigating the logistics of traveling around Egypt completely seamless. The Pyramids are the Pyramids and the Sphinx is the Sphinx but it’s the people that make the difference and that is what we’ll take away from everyone we interacted with at Timeless tours.

October, 2023. Egypt Highlights with Timeless Tours - 5*****! Though we are not (yet) seasoned travelers, my husband and I (we are 70 yrs young) were very pleased with this tour. A Timeless Tours r…October, 2023. Egypt Highlights with Timeless Tours - 5*****! Though we are not (yet) seasoned travelers, my husband and I (we are 70 yrs young) were very pleased with this tour. A Timeless Tours representative was with us every step of the way from arrival at Cairo airport to departure 2 weeks later. They are extremely accommodating. We were very lucky to have a group of only 11, which made for a delightful experience, thanks in no small part to our wonderful guide, Mina Malik. Aside from his knowledge of the antiquities and great anecdotes about the sites (think curses), Mina is the kindest and most accommodating soul and we were very lucky to have him as our link to Ancient Egypt. Cannot say enough good things about Mina and our tour group!! The tour itself was paced well in general, with only 1 or 2 very busy days. Note: The Valley of the Kings is HOT, but sooo worth the effort! Our Nile River cruise on the Presidential Symphony was delightful, with a cheerful and pleasant crew. An afternoon spent at the on board pool was a welcome respite from touring. We elected to do the optional visit to Abu Simbel, also well worth the early morning departure. My favorite part was our stay at the Gravity Hotel in Sahl Hasheesh near Hurghada on the Red Sea, which, despite it's name, has the most beautiful clear blue water I have ever seen! Think Windex! After 4 days of beach bliss, it was back to Cairo and the Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo and the Pharaonic Village - the Egyptian version of It's a Small World - where you can see re-enactments of ancient Egyptian life and see a replica of Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We opted for the flights between cities, also very well worth the extra money. Shukra, Mina and Timeless Tours!

The hotels surpassed my expectations considering how cheap the tour was, I especially liked the aquapark hotel in Hurghada, and the nile cruise was really relaxing and luxurious. The variety of activities was diversified, we did everything from visiting temples to going diving. The guide Mina Magdy was very knowledgeable and super attentive to our needs, he even helped me print out some documents I needed for my next destination. The group got along well with each other. It was a very enjoyable experience and I feel like I got to see everything I wanted to in Egypt!

There was a lot to see and Mina has so much knowledge about each place and all of Egyptian history. The accommodations were SO good. I was pleasantly surprised. The cruise was my favourite part. We covered a lot of Egypt in 10 days. When I booked this tour, it said it was an 18-46 year old tour, but there were people of all ages. This wasn’t a big deal as we all had a great time together. I felt safe as a solo female traveler the entire time. I have no complaints, but if I were to offer any advice, it would be for the hotel in Hurghada, where it was an “all inclusive” hotel, but nearly impossible to get a drink from a server at the main restaurant. Everything else was amazing. Egypt has so much to see and it is truly a life-changing trip. I highly recommend!

The accommodations were very nice and the variety of activities kept us engaged in our adventure. The flights included in this trip were a great way to ensure that we saw more sights instead of spending time in transit. We would highly recommend this tour company and tour!

I feel that we should have been advised of the consistent early mornings and very long days.
Understandably, I know that there was a lot to fit into the journey, however, most people were extremely tired which resulted in some freyed nerves.
Mina was thrown some challenges with a couple of our members and was often disrespected, but handled the situations professionally.
Overall Egypt and Jordan was a wonderful experience and the country so different and awe-inspiring. Thank you Expat for a memorable trip.

Also worth mentioning is the issue with privacy. Entry visas have traveler passport numbers, and are closely regulated by mutiple privacy laws. Letting other travelers download others visa pdf files is a direct violation, especially since Whatsapp keeps those files forever.

The two from America rudely walked away while he was presenting and they ignored his directions requiring him to repeat himself to them many times. Mina remained professional even when one refused to complete the survey at the end of the tour.
The one excursion I did not like was the Numidian village. The boat ride there and back was great. The village itself felt fake and setup. No history was presented by the host. I did not like the crocodiles packed in a small cage in the house. That was not what I expected. Many or all of our tour group did not like the house experience.
The Nile cruise with a balcony was great.
The seafood restaurant in Alexandria was not good. Cold food, over cooked.
More schwarma instead. Something like that.
Overall Egypt experience was good.

Appreciate that we were met at the airport and helped through customs. We didn’t have that in Egypt somehow. Very nice. Would have liked that experience in Egypt after travelling 13 hours.

Many of the group went on their own early at 6am instead of waiting for the set time.

Very disappointed compared to the description. Expected a quiet camp to sit outside at night with everyone.

From the very first day, our guide, Mina Nash, made sure to explain everything to us about optional excursions, currency, the itinerary, and address any concerns we had. He truly made sure we all had the best time on the tour and his positive demeanor and knowledge of each site we visited made the tour a really special one.
The itinerary for the tour was jam-packed which is just how I like to travel. We hit each major site along the Nile, my favorites being Abu Simbel and the Great Pyramids (including entering one!). One of the most special parts, which is why I chose this specific tour, was being able to spend a night on the Nile in a felucca. Being able to relax, have dinner cooked on the boat, and have drinks with fellow tour-mates was something that felt unique and will be something I always remember.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone on the fence about visiting Egypt! From beginning to end, Mina and the team took care of us, made sure we were comfortable, happy, and safe. Thank you for making my first trip to Egypt so great!

Would’ve loved an option to pay a little extra to make some detours at local restaurants. That’s the only point of improvement I can think of.

We did not expect the resort in Hurghada to be so much fun and so relaxing. It was a great addition to the active trip. Many in our group commented that we would not have done the Nubian dinner if we had to do it again. It did not live up to the expectations we were presented and was expensive for what it was. Otherwise, we were happy with the rest of the events.

This tour has a large variety which I enjoyed very much. You get to see all tourist attractions with a history lesson, but also you spend time on a boat and cruise down the Nile. The last days we had beach/pool days which were very nice.

This tour has a variety of different activities from boat rides, riding camels by the pyramids, desert atv adventures, hot air balloons, snorkelling and cruising the Nile!

I know that the trip is long, many places to visit in such a short time and that it is clearly more comfortable by plane, however, by bus it can be made more comfortable with better buses and perhaps in a different way, go to Aswam little by little and those 16 hours when we are going back, be refreshment when everyone is already tired or plan to arrive by plane to Aswam, move little by little by bus to Cairo and leave from there to the airport. The explanations can be advanced on the bus to be able to take advantage of more time in the places and without so much sun.
All main sites were part of the tour, it was great!

We enjoyed sitting on deck and watching Egyptian life. Would reccomend paying extra to go into the great pyramid, Tut's tomb and Abu Simbel. We also paid extra to go scuba diving which was also an excellent experience. The traffic and modes of transport were crazy especially seeing camels galloping along the motorway by the pyramids! Great price for the trip but the extra for the entrance fees and tips was a little more than we were quoted.
All in all, it was an marvellous life experience.

From the moment I started communicating for booking the trip, Hani was always quick to respond to any question I had. I arrived a day before my trip began and Timeless offered to coordinate the day for me. Everything was perfectly worked out and I did not have to figure anything out during my vacation which was a blessing! Our tour guides Simson and Mina communicated with us very well what the schedule would be each day. The accommodations were not anything fancy but they were perfect. Our first hotel The Oasis in Giza was a decent hotel with superb staff. The Ramadis cruise was wonderful and the staff on board the ship were super friendly and accommodating too. There was a belly dance show and a party another night on board the ship. It was great to be able to take a dip in the pool too after the hot days in Cairo/Giza. Finally, the resort in Hurghada was a nice way to relax and unwind before heading back home. I can not recommend this tour enough. The staff helped make this an unbelievable experience and have made me want to return to Egypt again. Thank you Timeless Tours, but especially thank you to Mina Magdy. Be sure to ask for Mina as your guide, you will not be disappointed. :)

It was my birthday during the tour and he gifted me a lovely papyrus sheet with my name on it, I would recommend going on your birthday party week. Small things I got confused but like I said I loved the fact that they were well organized .. and the PCR test was done at the lobby really convenient for us... The variety across 9/10 days was superb, between seeing all the astonishing historical sites (some at night which makes it feel even more special!), a Nile cruise that comfortably best expectations in terms of the quality of the boat (the food, the pool and the rooms etc), visiting the Red Sea for snorkelling and a few days of relaxation, and the unrivalled intensity of Cairo. Our guide Mina was a gentleman throughout and was clearly an expert on the historical sites and provided concise commentary on what we should be focusing upon, whilst giving us enough to explore and take in the moments ourselves. Would recommend this tour and certainly Mina as a guide to anyone. Thanks a lot,

Great points:
1. Our tour guide Mina Magdy was EXCELLENT. He has an incredible way with people, he is outgoing, entertaining and very, very knowledgeable.
Mina made everyone feel comfortable and deftly navigated his was around a tour sites, dealing with guards, blocking aggressive vendors and finessing various segments of Egyptians to get us the best tour perks. He is awesome, you’ll want to request him if possible.
2. The historic sites and monuments were unbelievable. It’s one thing to see pictures of them but standing next to the Sphinx or the Great Pyramids is entirely something else.
3. The level of service and attention we received from the staff was unmatched. We were well-taken care of from start to finish.
The way the tour guide zoomed us through customs at the airport immediately upon disembarking the plane the flight was astonishing and that set the standard for the entire trip.
Not-so-great points:
1. I did not love the cruise experience at all. In fact, this was my least favorite part. My room had a heavy mildew odor and I had to switch it with a better room. They accommodated the change quickly but it was very disappointing.
2. Our hotel in Aswan was also not the best. It’s hard to know which properties we’ll be staying in before the trip but make sure you research each one before booking.
The pictures paint an overly optimistic picture of the rooms so use that as a gauge.
3. We packed in way to much in the days when we toured monuments and historic sites. The heat is brutal, so we needed time to recover very often from it being so hot.
We only got an hour to shop at the end at the great bazaar due to transportation delays. This was disappointing because I didn't get enough souvenirs.
Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to people who love a lot of activity and seeing as much as possible in Egypt.
There was very little left out and I felt completely satisfied with how much we were able to experience in this great country.
Please note: if you are coming from a country that is very polite, you’re going to have to practice aggressively saying no. A lot.
There are a ton of vendors at every stop trying to get your attention and sell you goods.
Most of these are cheap and should be ignored, but the vendors will be pushy and they can alternate between friendly and mean.
Pay no attention to it. Don’t accept any “gifts” or anything “free”. They’re going to ask for money. Be strong with your no to everyone. :-)

The service at Cairo airport provided by Achmed was exceptional and outstandingly efficient. He processed our visas in advance which avoided having to wait in line like the rest. At the time of departure, Achmed was present and made the process easy and quick.
In Egypt, the representatives of Timeless tours were attentive, professional and tended to our overall needs.
However all the hotels in Egypt were messy and dirty regardless of the star rating. The tv and air conditioning remotes, telephones, switches and all of the hotels' documents, menus, were filthy and grungy. Clearly no effort was made in view of Covid 19. The cleaning staff used the same cleaning material from one room to another. Some wore gloves, some masks but nothing that showed precautions to avoid the spread of Covid.
We had buffets for every meal yet almost no one wore masks when serving themselves. Also, all the hotels except for one were unable to provide Wi-Fi in our room despite their claim.
In terms of departure times we always learned at the last minute the details of the time of transport for the next day.
There was very poor planning of the Cairo-Aswan flight since we had to go to bed at 2:00 am and wake up at 6:00 am. The hotel in Aswan was particularly messy and smelly. Thank god we did not have to stay there longer!
The cruise was up to the task and provided the cleanest and most comfortable accommodation.
The stay in Hurghada made it possible to rest from long journeys and early departures where, in some cases, were in the middle of the night.
The beach at the Red Sea is dangerous. It has endless rocky and uneven surfaces and made it very difficult to walk even with water shoes. Someone from our group injured his foot while walking in the water and had to cancel certain excursions in view of this.
There was poor planning of the return to Cairo. Departure was very early in the morning in order to wait for a vehicle convoy out of Hurghada. All this in view of the excursions scheduled in the afternoon. Meanwhile this exhausting day was followed by a free day in Cairo!
The tipping Kitty requested at the start of the trip was diverted from its tip function to bribe the police along the way. Passengers seated in the front of the vehicle witnessed the exchange of money from the tipping envelope to the driver to the policemen. This situation is totally unacceptable, inappropriate and was not agreed to. Plus we wonder if the staff in question actually received the tips.
We found that Timeless Tours in order to form a larger group, consolidated several much less expensive trips and upgraded clients “at no cost” while we paid in full. The same goes for the flight between Cairo and Aswan which we paid twice as much as other passengers. We really felt like we were duped by the Timeless Tours. Why did Timeless Tours favor only those with a less expensive plan without regard to us who paid extra for better services?
Jordan
Only 3 people completed the tour to Jordan. When we arrived, unlike Cairo, no Timeless Tours representative was present to facilitate the arrival formalities. After contacting the representative in Cairo, we learned that the person was waiting for us outside the airport.
The person explained to us that he would be our driver in Jordan and not our guide. We subsequently understood that Timeless Tours had subcontracted the Jordan portion of our tour to another company who then subcontracted to a driver, Mustafa hence the significant reduction in services received.
Before arriving in Jordan we noticed that the itinerary was changed and horseback entry into Petra and the jeep trek in the desert did not appear. We told our driver that these changes were unacceptable. We showed him a copy of the original itinerary.
The next day, he drove us to meet Jamal from the tour company who explained that if we wanted the horseback ride we had to tip $10 US to $15 US per person. We argued and told him that this wasn’t a tip and he said we had no choice.
He later confirmed that the Jeep expedition to Wadi Rum at sunset was included. We didn’t appreciate his tone and he showed no concern for the cancellation of the horse ride which we had paid for in advance. The three of us decided to take the horse ride and claim the $10 US each we gave in tips from Timeless tours.
The driver did not know, for example, that the Petra site opened at 6 am and thus deprive us of irreplaceable visiting time.
Another consequence was that the arrival in Wadi Rum was late and we were unable to participate in the Jeep expedition in the desert during sunset.
The Bedouin camp was exceptional and clean and the welcome we received was remarkable. Unfortunately, Mustafa spent the night in his car and the camp would not offer him a room even though there were a lot of vacancies. How safe would you feel the day after someone slept in his car and had to drive around all day?
We felt abandoned by Timeless Tours throughout the Jordan portion of the trip. The driver Mustafa did his best within the limits of his restrained touristic knowledge. We appreciated his driving skills and his overall calm and polite demeanor.

Hany was our booking agent/in country contact - he was amazing and very patient with all of our questions. We booked this tour only three days before the scheduled departure and he made sure everything was organised even at such a short notice. Once we arrived we had a representative meet us with a sign and help us through the visa and customs process before our transfer to our hotel. Our drivers and everyone from Timeless tours were very professional and friendly. Our tour group was quite small (just three of us) because of covid but we absolutely loved that... I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if we were part of a larger group. We met our tour guide Mena on the first day of the tour and he went above and beyond for us on many occasions. Our itinerary was changed slightly because of covid but everyone kept us very well informed and we even ended up with some upgrades! Mina was super knowledgable and always had tons of info and history to share with us plus he helped to make sure we knew appropriate pricing for food/drinks or souvenirs. This tour was the perfect mix of history and relax/fun time for us. I really can't say enough good things about Timeless tours, our drivers (Uzu in particular I believe) Hany, or Mena. We were even able to extend our stay in Egypt and they helped to organize additional accomodation, flights, and activities for us around Sinai/Dahab.
We didn't love the first accomodation The Oasis Hotel as it was quite far outside of Cario and didn't have much close by. We also had cold water issues - they were eventually resolved. The hotel did grow on us through the few nights we stayed there. Overall we were very satisfied with the entire tour and trip.

I signed up for this tour to see all the things that I had only read about in history books. And it didn't disappoint. And it didn't disappoint. The tour starts with someone meeting you at the Cairo airport to help through customs. This makes it so easy. You get handed off a few times and end up at the hotel. There is security everywhere. I never felt unsafe during the entire tour. There are several add on tours you can do before or after the official tour. I did the Memphis a Dashur tour, which included two pyramids, and also did the Alexandria day trip. It's totally worth it to go into the pyramids. They are hot and stuffy and an uncomfortable hunkered over walk to get into but it's so worth it. You are going to be spending a lot of time traveling on a bus on rough roads so be ready for that. Some of the days start really early so you can get there before the crowds. This ended up being totally worth it nothing like having a whole temple to yourself. Be ready for very pushy salesfolks everywhere. Also have lots of small bills available for tipping and bathroom breaks, there's normally a fee for any bathroom use. And bring your own TP since there often isn't any. The guides know a lot. Our guide was Mina Magdy He answered all our questions and provided tons of information and kept everything going smoothly. He was more than wiling to accommodate requests. We had signed up for the felucca but discovered it was just sleeping in a group on the deck of the boat which is more adventure than we wanted. So he arranged for us to do the cruise but stay in the hotel that night which was fantastic. The highlight for me was the valley of the kings in Luxor and snorkeling in the Red Sea. I want to return to see more of both.

The resort we stayed at in Cairo was close to the Pyramids and offered a lot of great amenities. I especially like the shops and nearby bank that made exchanging currency easy and convenient.
Our guide Mina was AMAZING! He was very detailed and knowledgeable in explaining details about every place we visited. He was gracious enough to share additional details so I could update my daily travel blogs too!
The Train from Cairo to Aswan was not great. The train is not new and the bathrooms were filthy from the time the train left Cairo. The wash basin cabinet door in our car was broken and would not close and banged against the wall all evening. The train horn blasted most of the evening too. I highly, highly recommend upgrading to stay another night in Cairo and fly down to Aswan. It will be worth it to get quality sleep and avoid a potentially unpleasant train experience.
Other than the train, the entire trip was amazing! I would absolutely do this in a heartbeat. If you are considering a tour of Egypt that will show you a lot of everything throughout the country, this is the trip for you!!!

Overall, the tour itinerary delivered on everything it said it would take us to and do. I saw a lot of Egyptian's sites up close in personal in a compact 8 days (not including the 1st and last days which were my travel days) and exposed to a lot and my experience was enriched by it. The itinerary starts out more frenetic until you reach Hurghada where you have some down time to relax and catch up. Part of the reason it was frenetic because I chose the optional excursions such Abu Simbel and the hot-air balloon (which were fantastic) but require early wake up if you want to see the sunrise as well. The hotels were all great, particularly the Lotus in Luxor and the one in Hugharda. The tour bus was large, clean, comfortable, and had a washroom. My tour guide Meena was excellent and you can tell he is passionate about Egyptian history and mythology. The felucca experience is for those that like to experience the "homestay" in another country which I found enjoyable and kept warm at night, plus a clean bathroom on board. Arriving in Cairo was overall a shock to my system, but the airport transfer into Cairo and back to the airport was well facilitated by the tour company.
Where there could be areas of improvements: I think that the admission fees to the attractions and the tipping kitty should be built into the tour package rather than after someone commits to the tour. To me, the amount extra was not a lot so it wouldn't have been a make it or break it if those fees were more up front and transparent. I like the Egyptian Museum and it has the King Tut golden mask, but the GEM is finally open and already tours are including a visit there so that is something to consider and balance. I wish the tour bus came outfitted with charging plug-ins in the seats as some of the bus rides are long (so travellers, bring a charging battery). Other than these minor issues, it was truly a wonderful experience and I am happy I chose this tour and company. Thank you for reading.

The only to thing to mention is that the itinerary is quite full on if you do all the optional extras like me. They are absolutely worth doing, it can just get a little tiring sometimes. Having a couple of relax days in Hurghada balances it all out though. If you book knowing that, you should have the best time!

We had hesitated to cancel the trip because of the situation in Israel.... but didn't experience anything at all. We never felt unsafe. As a woman you can also walk around in top and shorts, no problem.

Unfortunately I had an accident in the second week spending a day in the hospital but the Timeless tours representatives helped us to reschedule our flights and remaining visits showing great flexibility and helpfulness.
Our trip was in July which is the low season. If you don't have too much troubles with the heat I would definitely recommend this since there are significantly less tourists at the sights than in winter.

This trip is very go-go, so if you need a slower pace, maybe go with the longer trip they offer. Personally I could have done with some more down time because I did get a bit burnt out at the end. But luckily we ended the tour in a lovely hotel in Hurghada. And looking back, I can now say I’ve seen a pyramid, held a crocodile and seen Tutankhamun in the flesh…and seen my first clownfish in the Red Sea… so can’t complain tbh. It truly was a great mix of milestone moments!
Pro tip for future travellers: pack light because there will be a lot of hotel changes. And pack 50+ sunscreen because it gets HOT in Egypt.

The Temples and sites were fantastic, my tour group was great and we had an excellent guide in Mina, very knowledge and attentive to the groups needs and we were always well informed about where to be at the right time to ensure an optimum experience. The Nile Cruise was excellent, one stop off hotel bathroom was a bit of a let down as was the food at one of the hotels at the start of the tour, but the hotel accommodation on Hurghada was excellent as was an impromptu celebration my own and another tour members birthday very entertaining, if I had known would have extended my stay to spend a few more days in Hurghada at the penultimate end of the tour. Overall a fantastic experience helped with a great tour guide in Mina and a great tour group, in a place, Ancient Egypt that continued to keep on giving in terms of wonder and excitement. Would definitely look to go back once the new museum is open spending more time in Karnak and visiting some of areas that were not on this tour. Suffice to state fly to Aswan and add the hot air balloon experience, you won't be disappointed.
This really was a fantastic tour. We got to experience Egypt indepth and although Jordan was whirlwind in comparison, I still feel we saw the major tourist attractions!

This tour could be done solo no problem within a friendly and safe group. We saw so many extraordinary temples and tombs which blow your mind. There were plenty of trips and some optional extras. We covered a surprising amount of miles Egypt.!! Some trips to temples involved early morning starts but well worth it!! Our guide Mina was enthusiastic and cheerful and a very knowledgeable Egyptologist. All the mini bus transfers and a couple of internal flights included. We felt safe and well looked after and well fed!! The Nile cruise was absolutely gorgeous and relaxing too with great food. The extra treat at Hurghada at the beautiful Red Sea provided a wonderful rest before going back to Cairo to see some more culture and insights into modern Egyptian Life. We are inspired by ancient Egypt and the Egyptian hospitality & people.

We visited Cairo and Alexandria on a private tour. The staff were very nice to us and we got to learn a lot about ancient Egypt. We had nice conversations with the tour guide and our journey was quite pleasant.
The accommodation and food can be improved. The hotel we stayed in didn't have WiFi in the room and breakfast was bland. We also didn't get introduced to local Egyptian food and the choice of restaurants was not optimal (in terms of dining environment, value to money, taste). But these are not major issues to us, just some area for improvements.
Overall the experience is good, especially with the price we are paying. I would recommend the tour to others.

The only criticism I have are in regards to the quality of the hotel. Most especially the Protels in Hurghada which I was looking forward to as a fine to relax, but was very noisy throughout the day and night. The food was also alway's cold.
The staff however were very accommodating.

The communication from the very beginning was excellent. As promised I was met on arrival by a rep who guided me seamlessly through the visa process and I was soon on my way to meet my group and tour guide. There were 9 of us in total so we were able to travel comfortably on the minibus. The tour guide was Mina Magdy. He knows all things Egypt. He was very patient and caring and managed our time very well. Thanks to his expertise we were able to visit local places too for lunch as well as an alabaster workshop, essence oil store, Egyptian cotton store, spice store and papyrus store. For those who like to shop it was an opportunity to buy good quality products at sensible prices. I opted for the hotel upgrade and flight upgrade to make my tour more enjoyable and I’m really glad I did. The hotels were excellent and the flights quick and convenient. As a single female travelling to Egypt for the first time I felt safe and secure from the second I landed. I would not hesitate to recommend Timeless Tours. I hope to get the chance to book with them again.

Truly unforgettable trip with lots of memories: crawling into the pyramids, riding camels, the Nile river cruise, entering Valley of the Kings tombs, hot air balloon over Luxor at dawn, walking through Petra (night and day), scuba diving in the Red Sea, floating in the Dead Sea… too many amazing memories in areas teeming with history (some of these activities were optional/extra).
A few suggested improvements could make the tour even better:
* Consider adding the entrance fees and tips into the tour price, it would simplify logistics ($150 in Egypt alone). Since credit card use is limited in some areas, this would eliminate the uncertainty of carrying enough cash.
* Similarly, a minor price increase could cover all (instead of most) meals, making it much more convenient.
* Wifi coverage in Egypt hotels was quite substandard. Recommending the purchase of a local SIM card ahead of time would have been helpful.
* Flight from Cairo to Aswan should be the default option. Overnight bus ride can be a drag…
* Inform passengers about the strange paranoia in Egypt with “professional cameras” —- you are allowed to take pictures with your phone but cameras have all sorts of restrictions, not just museums or archeological sites, also the hot air balloon and some parks (either banned or need a “camera fee”)
* Flight from Cairo to Amman should be in the morning; the afternoon schedule wastes a whole day, as it does not leave enough time for any activity before the airport transfer.
* Purchasing the “Jordan pass” that includes the visa and entrance fees to several attractions should be emphasized, as the price is quite advantaged. We did not know about it (apparently an oversight by the tour coordinator) and ended up needlessly spending more money, even after the refund of the visa cost (thank you about that!)
* One regret was not being able to visit Jesus baptism site, even though we were only 6 km away —- consider squeezing in that visit, not as an “either option” with the Dead Sea float.
* PCR test results in Jordan were a bit delayed, additional follow-up from the tour organizer would have provided peace of mind.
The Felucca was canceled. The tour was good.

Our family would only ever give Timeless Tours 5 stars for effort and organization. My less than stellar ratings would only apply to Tour Radar.
From the beginning, the tour we took was confused with an Egypt and Jordan tour which we did not take. Even this review headline refers to a tour we didn't take. Having taken issue with this problem repeatedly over the last year it seems to me to be a very small problem to correct. That didn't ever happen. As a result of this mistake, our tour guide's name is not one of the names we can choose from for a review.
Additionally, when I questioned the upgrade for a flight to Aswan instead of an endless bus ride from Cairo to Aswan, my questions were never answered sufficiently which would have allowed me to make the right choice for this part of the tour. No one ever told me that our accommodations would be at the Oasis for the additional night and we would fly out the next morning. I was left to believe that the flight would be at night, leaving us in Aswan in the middle of the night to make our way to join the rest of the group the next day. It was never clarified so we took the bus and it was endless.
Lastly, the complete screw-up that was the tour to Petra was hard to overlook or excuse. Thanks to Mena's input on our behalf, we were given a Bedouin dinner for no charge to help make up for the horrible experience it turned out to be. The fact that we were charged full price for that excursion to Petra is not acceptable but no one from Tour Radar has made any attempt to contact me about it. Also, we were met in the Cairo airport by a representative to purchase 3 additional visas to re-enter Egypt when we came back from Jordan. Everyone in Dahab seemed to know that we didn't need to do that and that the Egyptian government would just extend our regular visa for that one visit to Petra. Someone at Tour Radar should have known that. That mistake cost me $75 additional. We have visas that are of no use to us and the representative from TR should have been in possession of that information to have saved us that money.
It is my belief that someone from Tour Radar should contact me about these issues. I'll be waiting.
