Pre-Tour Information
This day covers the seasonal patterns you'll want to know about for planning your safari. The migration kicks off in June when the dry season starts, then moves through Kenya's Maasai Mara during August and September. If you're flexible with timing, the best months to visit are December through February or May through July, depending on what you want to see and experience.

Arusha to Lake Manyara
You'll start early with breakfast in Arusha at 08:30, then drive out to Lake Manyara National Park for your first game viewing. By 13:00 lunch is set up at the park's picnic area, so you'll break there before continuing your exploration. Afterward you'll head back to your lodge or campsite to settle in, have dinner, and rest for the night.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti
After breakfast you'll head out from Lake Manyara with a packed lunch, traveling through Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti Plains. Lunch happens at your own pace at the lodge or you can keep exploring with game drives around Seronera, and if timing works out you might catch the migration. By evening you're back at your Serengeti accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

- Day 4
Serengeti Game Drive Day 1
You're spending the whole day doing game viewing in Serengeti's central and eastern regions. After breakfast you'll set out with a packed lunch, taking a break around 12:30 or 13:00 for your picnic. Then it's back to exploring the acacia savannah for the rest of the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay happen at your lodge or campsite.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park - Day 5
Serengeti Game Drive Day 2
Another full day of game viewing across the Serengeti with packed lunch. The migration forms a long chain about 40 km heading southwest, and you'll have chances to see it throughout the day. Around 12:30 to 13:00 you'll stop for lunch and rest for an hour, then continue watching the wildlife move through. You'll finish the day at Into Wild Serengeti Tented Campsite with dinner and overnight.

Serengeti Game Drive Day 3
Yet another full day in Serengeti's central and eastern acacia savannah regions. You'll leave after breakfast with your packed lunch, break for a picnic lunch around 12:30 or 13:00, then continue your afternoon game drives. By evening you're back at your lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park - Day 7
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
You'll leave Serengeti after breakfast and drive toward Ngorongoro Crater. Once there you'll descend to the crater floor with your packed lunch for game viewing, and this is a great opportunity to spot rare species like black rhinos. Lunch gets set up at the crater floor picnic site near Lerai Forest or Hippo Pool. Late afternoon you'll head back up the crater for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Tarangire National Park
After breakfast you'll drive to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its large elephant population and massive baobab trees scattered throughout. You'll do game viewing for the day, then return to your lodge in the evening.

- Day 9
Tarangire Game Drive
This is a full day exploring Tarangire National Park. After breakfast you'll head out with packed lunch to see the park's abundant elephants and those huge baobab trees. You'll be back at your lodge in the evening.

Landmarks Tarangire National Park - Day 10
Tarangire to Arusha
After breakfast you'll leave Tarangire heading back toward Arusha with packed lunch. On the way you can stop at Meserani Snake Park for lunch and shop at local curio shops if interested. You'll reach Arusha town in the afternoon and check into your hotel or campsite. Later around 18:30 you'll head to Arusha Central Market for bird watching where you might spot sacred ibis, hammerkop, and hadad ibis from the local lakes, then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Arusha Departure
After breakfast you'll have leisure time at the lodge or can do an early morning game drive in Arusha National Park if you prefer, with return by 12:30 for hot lunch. At 18:00 you'll transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home.
