  We were lucky enough to have a customized itinerary taking in the best of the Golden Circle, Silver Circle, and South Coast, and I am completely blown away. Iceland's landscape is brutal and beautiful in equal measure and I mean that in the best possible way. What struck me most about Arctic Adventures was the sheer depth of their infrastructure. Almost every excursion and activity is backed by their own team rather than outsourced, and you can see that investment reflected everywhere with a commitment to sustainable tourism. This isn't an operator just reselling experiences, they're deeply embedded in Iceland and clearly care about protecting it. Our driver and guide Diddi was a huge part of what made this trip so special. No matter how long the day, his energy never wavered and his love and passion for his home country was infectious and completely genuine. Having someone that enthusiastic about Iceland by your side makes the whole experience richer. I also appreciated the positive nature (and sense of humor) of all of the additional guides we had on each excursion. Highlights included Laugarás Lagoon, the lava tunnel, Geysir geothermal area, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach, Silfra Fissure snorkeling, and more waterfalls than I can count. I genuinely expected waterfall fatigue to set in but it never did. Each one was distinct, captivating, and completely its own experience. People keep asking me what my favourite part of the trip was, and it genuinely changes each time I'm asked! But I do think one absolute standout for me was Katla Ice Cave. The journey there through the black sand desert felt like landing on another planet, and the blue cave itself was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Spotting an Arctic Fox on the way back to our bus was an added bonus too. Whale watching was unfortunately cancelled due to weather, but Arctic Adventures immediately offered alternative activities for the free morning which I appreciated. Prior to travel, this was one element I was most looking forward to, but I ended up not being too disappointed given how incredible the rest of the week was. Plus this has only given me another reason to return in a different season. I came on this trip thinking it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I'm going home already planning my next visit, and would definitely recommend Arctic Adventures to anyone looking for an in depth, and comprehensive trip to any part of Iceland!   I did a customised version of this trip with Arctic Adventures. Going in I had a rough idea of what to expect, glaciers, waterfalls, maybe some Northern Lights if I got lucky. Came away with so much more than that. The landscapes are unreal. Did the glacier hike on Vatnajökull with crampons strapped on, which was a first for me and easily one of the best things I’ve ever done. Jökulsárlón was breathtaking, ice caves and lava tunnels were brilliant fun, and the black sand beaches genuinely don’t look real in person. Then the Northern Lights turned up properly one night near Hof, dancing about for a good half hour right above us. Absolutely magical, and a lovely surprise on top of everything else. What made the trip though was how well the whole thing was put together. Pacing was spot on, no rushing between stops and no filler days padding it out. Guides were fantastic, properly knew their stuff and great company on the longer drives. Hotels and food were way better than I’d expected too, nothing flashy, just well chosen and comfortable after long days out in the cold. Every day brought something new and the whole group was buzzing by the end of it. You really do come away feeling like you’ve seen the best of Iceland, not just the postcard version. The Arctic Adventures team were absolute stars throughout. Felt looked after the whole way, never felt like just another group being shuffled along. Would do it again tomorrow.Show more
