  How much are Option A & B for excursions? Are all taxes and port fees included in price? Why is May 11-18, cheaper than other cruises this month?

    Taxes and port fees are included in the price. Please note this price does not include international flights, shore excursions, airport transfers, Wi-Fi or gratuities.
    
    May 11 -18 is currently cheaper than the other cruises that month, because it still has limited availability in the C-4 class cabin, whereas for the other dates the cheapest option is the C-1 cabin.
    
    Shore excursions must be booked no later than 8 weeks.
    
    WIFI: Costs €35 per person for one week or €5 per person per day.
    
    Lueftner is happy to provide vegetarian meals onboard, please let us know if you require any special dietary requirements.
    
    The port authorities will only disclose the embarkation point 2 to 3 weeks prior to departure. The confirmed location will be disclosed with your final documentation.
    
    Due to the global increase in fuel prices, please note that your Cruise Operator will frequently reassess fuel charges. This means additional fuel surcharges may be added to your booking prior to departure. Please ensure you check your Cruise Operator's terms and conditions regarding fuel surcharges prior to booking.

    Fuel surcharges may be added but what if fuel charges decrease? Is there any way to have this possible increase included in the price advertised?

    Fuel surcharges are set and adjusted by the tour operator closer to departure, based on factors like current fuel prices and operating costs. Any potential fuel surcharge cannot be included in the advertised price in advance. TourRadar displays the prices provided by each operator, but we are advised by them if any additional fuel surcharges need to be added to your booking prior to departure. This surcharge might be applied, but it is also possible that it will not be, depending on the operator's assessment at that time. For the same reason, if fuel costs decrease, whether any adjustment is made is at the discretion of the operator and according to their terms and conditions. We recommend reviewing the specific operator's Terms & Conditions on your tour page for details on how they handle fuel surcharges.

    Im confused I was under the impression that no excursions were included but in the itinerary it says "Whats included" and says things like tour of Heidelberg... now are these included in price I paid?

    Only some excursions are included in the tour price. The document that was previously sent to you outlines all available excursions, clearly indicating which ones are included and which come at an additional cost, along with their respective prices. As an example, the "AMADEUS Experience: Shanty Choir on Board" on Day 1 is included in your package. Other excursions listed in the document may be optional and can be added to your booking if you wish. We do recommend purchasing an excursion package rather than paying for excursions individually, as this is usually more cost-effective.

  What is the difference between the included excursions and the optional ones in plan A and plan B ? Please give us the prices of plan A and B.

    This cruise offers three different excursion packages:
    - Package A: € 347 per person
    - Package B: € 435 per person
    
    We have attached the brochure that lists all included excursions and explains what is covered in each package. In addition to the packages, you also have the flexibility to pre-book individual excursions in advance or directly onboard during your cruise.
    
    Please note that while the prices are listed in Euros, any payment processed through TourRadar will be charged in US Dollars.

    I still would like to know the difference between a free walking tour say of Heidelberg and an optional walking tour that must be paid for. Are the tours listed in the plans A and B just longer?

    Regarding the excursions, in the attached document you will be able to see all of the available excursions, along with an indication of which excursions are available in each package. For this cruise, there are only two "included experiences":
    
    - On Day 1: "AMADEUS Experience: Shanty Choir on Board"
    - On Day 5: "AMADEUS Experience: The Music of the Rhine"
    
    All other listed excursions are not included and will need to be purchased either:
    - in advance by selecting one of the excursion packages, or
    - individually, by choosing only the excursions that interest you.
    
    We understand there is some confusion because the cruise page currently shows some activities as included. To clarify, those activities are not included in the base cruise price, and an excursion package or separate purchase of the specific excursions will be required.
    
    For your second question, this cruise is indeed available in the opposite direction as well, from Basel to Amsterdam.

  Are there cabins available on the port side of the ship near the middle in either A-1 cabin or suite categories? When and how does cabin selection take place?
