Is the Greenland Adventure on the dates 8th -13th August likely to go ahead? If so which airport would I need to arrange to fly into and by what time would I need to be there?

I have checked the availability, and unfortunately there is no availability for the departure on the 8th. There is however availability for the tour on August 15th! The reserved seats on the flight have now been released, meaning the flights are currently booked on request. As a result, the airfare is higher than originally anticipated. There will therefore be a flight supplement, and the exact amount will depend on the airfare at the time of booking.

What time and day is the flight from Keflavik to Greenland? When do I need to be in Keflavik? Is the tour guaranteed to departure once I've confirmed it?

As far as we are aware, drone use in Greenland is permitted but there are regulations that need to be adhered to.

Would you be able to create a self-guided package for me that includes Hvalsey Church, Igaliku (Gardar), and an overnight stay at the Leif Erikson Hotel in Qassiarsuk (Brattahlid)?

We unfortunately cannot assist with self-guided tours as we only offer fully guided tours.

Do you have trips that don't have airfare but can link up with the tour? The flight from Newark to Nuuk is like 4.5 hours which is awesome rather than additional flight times.

We would be happy to have you on our tour but this summer we are only offering tours with the flights from Copenhagen or Iceland included.

The scenery of the fjords, icebergs, glaciers and valleys carved out by the ice were amazing and from another world. Being the only group in some of the treks also creates an idyllic setting. The itinerary alternated between days dominated by trekking versus days with more leisurely walks around towns and ruins in South Greenland, and includes walking on a glacier and kayaking. The guides (Rebecca and Kunuk) were particularly friendly and helpful, assisting with sometimes difficult terrain in treks and getting into and out of the zodiacs (small boats), and also being very willing to try and resolve any difficulties -- e.g. lending travellers minor items of gear. The almost daily zodiac rides (at full speed), which is the main mode of travel between locations and also for viewing the scenery, are much colder than the temperature outside, and warm winter wear is essential.Show more
