Being the only group in some of the treks also creates an idyllic setting. The itinerary alternated between days dominated by trekking versus days with more leisurely walks around towns and ruins in South Greenland, and includes walking on a glacier and kayaking. The guides (Rebecca and Kunuk) were particularly friendly and helpful, assisting with sometimes difficult terrain in treks and getting into and out of the zodiacs (small boats), and also being very willing to try and resolve any difficulties -- e.g. lending travellers minor items of gear. The almost daily zodiac rides (at full speed), which is the main mode of travel between locations and also for viewing the scenery, are much colder than the temperature outside, and warm winter wear is essential.
