You'll arrive in Krimml and head out for a walk to see Europe's largest waterfalls. The hike takes you right up to these massive falls, and you get a real sense of their scale once you're there. After settling into your accommodation, you'll have the evening to relax.

Krimml to Kaprun/Zell am See
This morning starts with cycling through Hohe Tauern National Park where snow-capped peaks surround you the whole time. You'll pass through the Upper Pinzgau region with its green meadows and small villages dotting the landscape. In Kaprun, there's an option to visit the high-altitude reservoirs if you want a break from cycling. The route covers about 60 km today.

Kaprun/Zell am See to Lofer
Start your day with a refreshing dip in Lake Zell, then cycle through the castle village of Maishofen and Maria Alm, which has a famous pilgrimage church worth seeing. You'll stop for lunch in Saalfelden before continuing past the Seisenberg Gorge and Lamprechtshöhle cave near Weißbach on your way to Lofer. Total distance is roughly 50 km.

Lofer to Salzburg
Cycle through the tranquil Saalachtal valley toward Bad Reichenhall, where you'll get a taste of Bavarian charm in this German corner of Austria. From there, continue on to Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace, and you can spend time exploring the old town and visiting Mozart's house. The day covers approximately 50 km of riding.
