This is my first time in Europe, solo traveling and doing a tour with TopDeck. I loved the guide, Paola, who was from Italy. The itinerary is great and allows you to see the major sites. I would make sure to plan for the free time if you want to go inside the major monuments, as they are not included in your tour. You will get to see them from the outside if that is satisfactory. The tour guide went out of her way to make sure everyone had plans during the free time and gave recommendations. Most of the time, she would offer to show us to a good location that lets you see an area that wasn't seen during the walking tour or have us join her for dinner at spots she loves. I went during the heat wave in Europe, so it was very hot, but she always made sure we had an opportunity to get water. I do not recommend a roller bag unless it's carry-on size or smaller, as many of the guests that had large rollers ended up losing a wheel to the cobblestone. If you do want a roller, I would make sure you are able to lift easily over your head, as many of the trains taken have space for large luggage, but you need to be able to lift it in the overhead storage. Particularly wide suitcases are not recommended, as on the smaller trains, the suitcase would not fit and would have to be on the luggage rack at the ends of the train car.Show more
