    Asked on April 9th, 2026

Our traveller is very interested in exploring Uluru and understands that most Red Centre itineraries include Kata Tjuta National Park and Kings Canyon. However, as Kings Canyon can be quite strenuous—particularly due to steep ascents, sandy terrain, and uneven rocky paths—we would like to explore whether an alternative arrangement could be made for Day 3. All other aspects of the tour are very appealing to the traveller. We noticed that your "Central Australia Camping Adventure – 4 days" tour includes a more relaxed Day 4 visit to the West MacDonnell Ranges, featuring Ormiston Gorge, Ellery Creek Bighole, Standley Chasm, and Simpsons Gap. This itinerary appears to be more suitable in terms of physical activity level. With this in mind, would it be possible for our traveller to join the "Central Australia Discovery – 3 days" program for Days 1 and 2, and replace Day 3 with the West MacDonnell Ranges itinerary (as per the 4-day tour), potentially on June 4, before returning to Alice Springs? The traveller is in their early 80s and is comfortable with a moderate walking pace, so we are aiming to keep the overall physical intensity manageable.

I am going to check if this is possible with our local team. But please keep in mind that you will have to make your own way in between the tours, we are unable to arrange that for you. The alternative is we can look at the 4 day Central Australia camping adventure.

    • On The Go ToursOperatorWritten April 2026

Thank you for your patience, our local team has advised unfortunately we can not make any amendments to the itinerary to accommodate a alternative on the day 3. The itinerary's are set. They suggested you may wish to consider joining our 2 Day Uluru Tour, this tour concludes in Yulara (Ayers Rock) around 12.30pm on Day 2. If you wanted to head back to Alice Springs you would need to book the AAT Kings shuttle service back otherwise we arrange a drop off at the end of this tour at either Ayers Rock Airport, Yulara, Northern Territory, Australia, at approximately 12 PM.

    • On The Go ToursOperatorWritten April 2026

We're excited to inform you that the operator has shared an itinerary for a 2-day adventure focusing on the stunning Uluru and the magnificent Kata Tjuta, two incredible treasures of the Australian Outback. While this itinerary does not include Kings Canyon, these iconic sites offer plenty of awe-inspiring landscapes and cultural experiences. Uluru is known for its spectacular sunrises and sunsets that paint the sky with vibrant colours, and Kata Tjuta's majestic domes are a must-see for any adventurer.

    Asked on March 6th, 2026

We can leave any day the first week in June. My son is 7 1/2. He turns 8 in October. He is very mature for his age and has lots of experience hiking and camping. Could he be permitted to come? One place said 5 years and older but then I saw 8+ as well.

    • On The Go ToursOperatorWritten March 2026

I have gone through to our local team to see if they might be able to make an exception for your son who is 7, I cannot guarantee that they will but I will advise as soon as they get back to me.

    • On The Go ToursOperatorWritten March 2026

Our local team have asked if your son has done any camping or hiking previously? Your son would need to be comfortable in a group setting and able to listen to and follow the guide's instructions.

    • On The Go ToursOperatorWritten March 2026
