Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Ouarzazate
Your hotel pickup happens around 8:30 AM, and then you're heading toward the High Atlas mountains. The drive takes you over Tizi N'Tichka pass where there are several stops to take in the views. You'll visit an Argan Oil cooperative to see how they produce the oil and learn about its uses, then continue south to Ait Ben Haddou. This UNESCO-listed Kasbah is worth exploring on foot before lunch in the town. After eating, it's about an hour more to Ouarzazate where you'll have dinner and stay the night.

Ouarzazate to Merzouga
After breakfast you're heading to Draa Valley to check out one of Morocco's longest rivers. Along the way there are stops at traditional adobe kasbahs and small Berber villages. Lunch happens in Alnif, then you drive roughly 2 hours to reach Merzouga's sand dunes. When you arrive there's hospitality tea waiting, and after you drop your bags at the hostel, you'll get on a camel for a 1.5-hour ride toward the Great Dune. You watch the sunset from out there, then return for dinner and sleep in a tent that night.

- Day 3
Merzouga
Get up before sunrise and ride back by camel to the hostel for a shower and breakfast. The whole day is spent exploring Erg Chebbi, which is a massive sand desert with the Great Dune rising over 250 meters high and views toward Algeria. You'll stop at Tissardmin oasis and visit a nomadic settlement to learn how people actually live out here. There's a panoramic viewpoint included, then lunch back at the hostel. The afternoon is free so you can climb the dunes yourself or just relax before watching another sunset. Dinner happens at the hostel followed by a Berber drum show.

- Day 4
Merzouga to Boumalne Dades
The day starts with a drive to Rissani and Erfoud to see a fossilized marble factory. From there you continue through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad heading south. The real highlight is reaching Todra Gorges, where vertical walls of rock frame the Todra River creating something special for rock climbers and photographers. You'll have lunch at the site and take a 30-minute walk to get closer to the Gorges themselves. By afternoon you're driving toward Dades Valley through Boumalne, arriving at Dades Gorges for dinner and an overnight stay.

- Day 5
Boumalne Dades to Marrakech
After breakfast you're traveling on a road that passes many different Kasbahs. This is the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, and it goes through the Valley of the Roses and Skoura's large palm grove. By midday you reach Ouarzazate to visit Kasbah Taourirt, which was the former home of the Glaoui (the Pasha of Marrakech). Lunch is on site, then you head back over Tizi N'Tichka pass with more scenic stops along the way. You should arrive in Marrakech around 5 PM for your hotel drop-off and tour finish.
