You'll board the MS VISTARIO in Cologne starting at 4:00 p.m., though bags can be dropped earlier if you want to wander the city first. There's a welcome cocktail and dinner waiting on board, and then the ship sets sail overnight.

Cologne to Koblenz
The Rhine cruise brings you to Koblenz by afternoon, where the Rhine meets the Moselle. A guided tour covers this 2,000-year-old city and takes you to Deutsches Eck, the famous landmark at the river confluence. After that, you have free time to walk around on your own. Meals are all included, and you'll sail overnight.

Koblenz to Mannheim
Late morning finds you in Mannheim at the junction where the Rhine and Neckar meet. This university city has interesting automobile and aviation history to check out during free time. An optional afternoon trip to Heidelberg and its castle is available if you want. Full board continues, and you'll sail overnight.

Mannheim to Strasbourg
You'll arrive in Strasbourg, the Alsace region's capital. The morning gives you a choice between exploring on your own or joining a guided walk through the old center. After lunch, there's free time or an optional excursion to Colmar if you're interested. Full board included with overnight sailing.

Strasbourg to Speyer to Mainz
Wake up in Speyer, a charming town where you can see the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption and St. Stephen, one of three Imperial Cathedrals in Germany. During lunch the ship heads toward Mainz, Gutenberg's hometown where he created the printing press. You'll stay overnight in Mainz with meals provided.

Mainz to Rüdesheim to Bonn
Early morning cruise takes you to Rüdesheim with a guided tour and free time to explore. Then you'll sail through the Romantic Rhine, a UNESCO site known for its castles, vineyards, and the famous Loreley rock. The ship reaches Bonn by early evening for an overnight stay, with all meals included.

After lunch, you'll arrive in Cologne for an afternoon guided tour of this historic city known for its architecture and famous Cathedral. Overnight in Cologne with full board.
