Itinerary
- Day 1
Fethiye to Tersane Bay
You'll arrive in Fethiye and board your gulet around 3 PM. From there, the boat heads out for swimming and snorkeling in Turunc Bay or Tarzan Bay as you cruise past several islands. Before settling in for dinner, you'll stop at Tersane Island to walk through the ancient ruins of a former Greek town and explore an old naval shipyard. Overnight on the gulet.

Tersane Bay to Gocek Bay
The boat sets sail for Hamam Bay where you'll swim among ancient Roman baths that Mark Antony built for Cleopatra. Later, you'll head to scenic Sarsala Bay surrounded by pine trees, and there's an optional 45-minute hike to an ancient Lycian town with 3rd-century BC walls if you're interested. After that, you'll cruise to Bedri Rahmi Bay (named after a Turkish painter) for more swimming and exploration before spending the night on the gulet.

- Day 3
Gocek Bay to Fethiye
You'll sail back towards Fethiye, navigating past Yassica and Gocek Islands with their secluded sandy beaches for swimming and snorkeling. A final stop at Red Island gives you a refreshing swim before you return to Fethiye. Dinner happens on the gulet to wrap up the sailing portion of your trip.

Fethiye to Pamukkale
After breakfast, you'll travel to Pamukkale to see the striking white travertines. From there, you'll explore Hierapolis, a Greco-Roman spa town with a well-preserved theatre, thermal baths, and necropolis. You can swim in hot springs surrounded by ancient Roman columns, and by evening you'll check into your hotel for dinner and relaxation.

- Day 5
Pamukkale to Cappadocia
This morning takes you along the historic Silk Road to Sultanhani Caravanserai, which once provided crucial shelter and rest for traders. Next, you'll visit the Mevlana Museum in Konya to see the mausoleum of Rumi, the 13th-century poet and Sufi mystic. Later you'll travel to Cappadocia for the evening, and there's an optional traditional Turkish folklore evening with music and dance if you're interested.

- Day 6
Cappadocia
After breakfast, you'll check out Cappadocia's striking landscapes starting at the Goreme Open-Air Museum with ancient cave churches decorated with well-preserved frescoes. You'll see the region's famous fairy chimneys, those remarkable rock formations shaped by centuries of erosion. Then you'll explore one of Cappadocia's multi-level underground cities that once served as refuge for early Christian communities. There's plenty of time for photography throughout the day.

Cappadocia to Istanbul
You'll head out early from Cappadocia and travel to Ankara, Turkey's capital, to visit Anitkabir, the impressive mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder of the Turkish Republic. After exploring the museum with its displays of Ataturk's life, the War of Independence, and the founding principles of modern Turkey, you'll continue to Istanbul by bus (or fly for an additional cost).

- Day 8
Istanbul
You'll start at the Blue Mosque with its elegant domes, six minarets, and intricate Iznik tiles. Then you'll visit St Sophia Museum, which has layers of religious and architectural history from its time as both a church and mosque. After that, you'll tour Dolmabahce Palace, the opulent final residence of the Ottoman sultans. You'll also see remnants of the ancient Hippodrome chariot racing arena including the Obelisk of Theodosius and Serpent Column. There's an optional half-day Bosphorus Cruise in the afternoon if you want to explore the waterway.
