Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Pokhara
Start your journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, about 210 km through the countryside. You'll make several stops along the way for meals and to stretch your legs, so it's a comfortable journey rather than one long push. Once you reach Pokhara and check into your hotel, spend the evening wandering around the lakeside area and getting a feel for the town.

Pokhara to Pitam Deurali
Leave early from Pokhara and head to Kande where your trek officially begins. From there you'll hike through terraced fields and small villages, crossing streams and gradually climbing higher into the landscape. By the end of the day you reach Pitam Deurali where the views open up and you can see Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, and Mardi Himal spread out in front of you. You'll sleep at a teahouse in the mountains tonight.

Pitam Deurali to Forest Camp
Today's hike takes you through alpine forests thick with rhododendrons and greenery, and the climbing is gradual so it's not too demanding. You'll pass through peaceful forest sections as you work your way up to Forest Camp, also called Low Camp. After arriving and settling in, you'll have the rest of the evening to relax at your teahouse.

- Day 4
Forest Camp to High Camp
The forests thin out as you climb today and eventually you break out onto open ridges with wide views in every direction. Machhapuchhre and the full Annapurna range come into view as you hike. By afternoon you'll arrive at High Camp where you can rest and prepare yourself mentally for tomorrow's summit push.

- Day 5
High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp to Badal Danda
Get up before dawn and head out for the final push to Mardi Himal Base Camp, timing it so you arrive right around sunrise. The light hits the peaks and turns everything golden while you take in views of Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and the whole Annapurna range. After spending time soaking in the scenery, you'll turn around and hike down to Badal Danda where you'll spend the night.

Badal Danda to Siding to Pokhara
Head downhill to Siding village, a quiet spot that doesn't see many trekkers. After grabbing lunch there, you'll transition from hiking to a scenic drive that takes you back down to Pokhara. It's a nice way to wind down after several days in the mountains and gives you time to reflect on what you've seen.
