You have solid options for this day in Passau. Take a full-day excursion to Salzburg nestled among alpine peaks, or visit the fairytale Czech town of Český Krumlov. If you'd rather stay local, a guided walking tour through Passau's narrow lanes and historic St. Stephens Cathedral works just as well.

Wertheim greets you on the banks of the Main and Tauber Rivers. Rüdesheim
