- Day 1
Santiago de Chile
You'll arrive in Santiago and connect with your German-speaking guide for the transfer to your hotel. After settling in, the afternoon takes you on a half-day city tour starting along the Alameda, where you'll see the Church of San Francisco and climb Santa Lucia Hill to learn about where the city was founded. From there, you'll drive through the artistic Bellavista district and head up to Cerro San Cristóbal viewpoint for views across Santiago toward the Andes. The route continues through modern neighborhoods before bringing you back to your hotel by evening.

Santiago de Chile to San Pedro de Atacama
Head to Santiago airport for your flight to Calama, then drive about 100 km to San Pedro de Atacama, a colorful oasis village sitting at 2,440 m elevation. Once you check into your hotel, the afternoon excursion takes you to Moon Valley where the rock and sand formations create otherworldly landscapes worth exploring on foot.

San Pedro de Atacama
After breakfast, drive south into the highlands to see the region's unique plants and wildlife around several lagoons. You'll visit Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons with mountain views and flamingos, then move into the Atacama salt desert, the largest in Chile, where colored formations and strange rock shapes cover the landscape. Chaxa Lagoon comes next, where high salt concentration allows unusual plants to grow and draws more flamingos. The day covers roughly 240 km total before returning to your hotel.

San Pedro de Atacama
This day is yours to use as you like in San Pedro de Atacama. Walk around town, rest at your hotel, or check out local shops and cafes. If you're interested, you can arrange an optional excursion to El Tatio geysers and Machuca town directly at your hotel.

- Day 5
San Pedro de Atacama to Purmamarca
Early morning transfer to the bus station for an unaccompanied public bus journey across the border into Argentina toward Purmamarca, departing around 7:30 am. You'll arrive at the bus station approximately 14:15, then transfer to your hotel. The afternoon lets you explore Purmamarca on your own and see Cerro de los Siete Colores, the famous Seven Colors Hill the village is known for.

- Day 6
Purmamarca to Salta
You'll drive north through the dramatic canyon landscape of Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stop at Tilcara to see the Pucará archaeological site, then cross the Tropic of Capricorn and visit Uquia to check out its regional chapel. Later you'll reach the old town of Humahuaca at 3,000 m elevation to experience the local atmosphere. From there, continue south to Salta where you're staying for two nights.

Salta
This full day takes you to Cafayate through the Lerma Valley with its tobacco, alfalfa, corn and cereal fields. You'll enter La Quebrada de las Conchas, an 83 km gorge with spectacular colored rock formations shaped by wind and water erosion over millennia. Along the way, see the amphitheater, Devil's Throat, obelisk, toad, bishop, castles and a viewpoint with three crosses. Once in Cafayate, visit a local winery producing Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Torrontes, then explore the town. The return journey shows the landscape in evening light.

Salta to Buenos Aires
Start with a morning city tour of Salta viewing colonial buildings, churches, monasteries, government structures, the cathedral and the Cabildo. You'll also visit the Museo de Arqueología de Alta Montaña (MAAM). Later, transfer to the airport for flights to Buenos Aires and then to your hotel. There's an optional Argentine Culinary Experience tour available in the evening if you're interested.

Buenos Aires
Today focuses on tango's birthplace. A city tour takes you along Avenida de Mayo to Plaza de Mayo where you'll see Casa Rosada, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the old city hall. Next, explore San Telmo and La Boca districts with the famous artists' street El Caminito. Dinner happens at Viejo Almacén restaurant, followed by a tango show at the Viejo Almacén tango house where performers do different tango and milonga variations.

Buenos Aires to Iguazú
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and fly to Iguazu. See the waterfalls from the Argentine side where you'll hike lower and upper trails close to individual falls. The Ecological Jungle Train takes you to Devil's Gorge for spectacular perspectives. Then drive to the Brazilian side and check into your hotel for two nights.

After breakfast, take the cog railroad up to the Christ statue on Corcovado for sweeping city views.
