  Working with Tour Radar was a fantastic experience! We had a self-guided tour which meant Tour Radar did all the hard stuff like finding hotels, arranging rides, having people with our names on signs at each pick-up/drop-off. It really allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. And the couple bumps we had along the way, Tour Radar was quick and responsive every time and either fixed the problem or, more often, it was just us being overly nervous and it had been handled the whole time.Show more

  Overall would not recommend booking through dot travel. You can get way better and cheaper accommodations on your own for less money. The trip started off nothing but stressful when we had to wait in the Athens airport (our first time ever traveling to Europe) for over two hours for our transportation. We were placed on the extremely long ferries when the shorter ones were similar in price and placed in the most disgusting hotels that were very inconvenient locations to main tourist attractions. Being from New York, if I knew someone coming from another country to visit, I would never place them in a neighboring state that takes an hour to get to Manhattan. This is what we had to deal with. In Santorini not only were we 45 minutes and a 40 Euro one way cab ride from Fira and Oia, but we felt completely unsafe at the hotel. The hotel was in a desolate area with no lights and beyond unfriendly staff. Although there was a beach located 10 minutes away, we were not interested in a beach that attracted older local people. Being that the tour is advertised for young people (ages 18-35) we expected to stay in more populated areas. This is on us for not following through, however, we feel the advertising was poor and deceptive because it showed on the “original itineraries” that we would be in more of the scene. When we received our vouchers 11 days before the trip we figured we’d still be in populated areas just different hotels, that was clearly not the case. Overall, I would not recommend using this company to book your vacation seeing as we did research and all of the hotels we stayed in at the same time of year were far cheaper to book independently rather than through this company.Show more

  Dear Mrs. Krasner, Thank you for the below feedback, which unfortunately do not represent the itinerary as a whole. As your fellow traveler Mrs. Stempler, you had the same issue with the booking. We are afraid that you did not book the tour you were supposed, as you had other expectations. This was clearly from the beginning an independent tour for individual travelers. Certainly, you are misleading the other potential travelers, by not presenting the trip as it was. Obviously, you were not satisfied with the choice of the trip, but not because of a lack of services, but because of booking a wrong tour. This tour is nowhere advertised as a group tour and certainly not for ages 18-35).The hotels you stayed at, were Arion hotel (the one published online), Yiannaki hotel in Mykonos (4* instead of 3* Olia which is published and with a rating of 8,9 on booking.com instead of 8,5 that Olia has on the platform). The last one, was Castro hotel in Santorini, where you got upgraded into a junior suite instead of a standard room, that you paid for. However, you do not mention this anywhere. On Ios island you stayed at Olga hotel (with 9,3 rating on booking.com), instead of Kritikakis Village which is initially offered at a rating of 9,1 on booking.com. Therefore, we do not understand what you did not like at the hotels and your comments are certainly appealing the truth.
