Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin describing this incredibly disappointing experience. I will start with the hotels. In Buenos Aires, we stayed at BA Abasto. This hotel was changed at the very last minute without clear prior information. The hotel has a Google rating of 3.0, which already says a lot. It was extremely unclean: the pillows smelled of other people, and walking barefoot in the room felt unhygienic, as if there was hair from previous guests. The bathroom was full of mold and limescale. After the first day, we stopped going to breakfast because the quality was extremely poor. The hotel in Mendoza was quite okay, although it was located next to a dangerous neighborhood. In Santiago, we were given a three-star hotel in one of the most dangerous parts of the city. People on the street actually warned us not to stay in that area. Overall, most of the accommodations were of very low standard and located far away from good or central areas. We felt very uncomfortable and disappointed. I am confident that I could have organized much better accommodations myself with a lower budget. One positive aspect was that airport transfers were always included and reliable. We also booked our flights through the agency, without being informed that they were booked without checked luggage. After our first flight—after we had already paid—we found out that no checked baggage was included. The agency’s only response was to tell us to read their terms and conditions. Coming from Europe, it is normal to assume that a checked bag is included. The agency then claimed they had “upgraded” our flights to include a 10 kg carry-on, which was completely inadequate and honestly ridiculous for a two-week trip. Additionally, all the tours we booked were extremely touristic and of very low quality—exactly the kind of experiences I usually avoid when traveling. Overall, this was by far the worst travel experience we have ever had. We have both taken organized tours in other countries before and had very positive experiences, which makes this disappointment even greater.

    • Unu Raymi ExpeditionsOperatorWritten September 2025

For shared accommodation, it depends on the specific adventure you're interested in, so please check the tour detail page for all the options available. Regarding modifying your adventure and excluding the last 2 days at the vineyards, we recommend communicating directly with us to discuss any customizations and recalculations. Availability and flexibility can vary, so it's best to explore the possibilities together. As for flights, they are typically not included in our adventures. We suggest reviewing your chosen adventure's tour detail page for a comprehensive list of what's included.

Does the tour pass through the Chapare region of Cochabamba Department? I ask because it would invalidate my travel insurance.

Can you give me some confirmed date options in November, where you already have travellers booked into the trip? I like to be in a group and meet other travellers, unfortunately I have booked some "group" trips where I have been the only person travelling.

    • Unu Raymi ExpeditionsOperatorWritten June 2025

While our availability indicates daily starts, we recommend booking on dates where we already have a group forming. This can vary, but we typically have groups on popular dates.

Can you please be more specific about which parks and attractions we pay extra for, and how much these will be.

    • Unu Raymi ExpeditionsOperatorWritten June 2025

Parks and specific attractions that might incur extra charges are detailed on the tour detail page. The costs typically vary depending on the location, and they can be around $20-$50 per entry.
