Night tours to view meteor showers?

    Tour Details
    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten February 2026

Yes, we can arrange night stargazing tours in San Pedro de Atacama, and we can absolutely time them to meteor shower nights as best as possible (weather and sky conditions permitting). Since you're looking at a Monday, July 27, 2026 start, the closest major shower is the Southern Delta Aquariids, which peaks around July 30–31, 2026.

    Claudia

    Asked on January 10th, 2024

Would it be possible to change the tour duration? Arriving Friday early morning and leaving the following Saturday late evening from Santiago, would it be possible to use Day 1 as arrival and visit of Santiago, remove Day 2 and Day 3 and Day 7?

    Tour Details
    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten January 2024

We can do this. I will send you the new price without days 2, 3, & 7 which will leave us 9 days of adventure. First I need to know when are you planning to visit us, so I can check for our best hotel options. The days in Bolivia are going to be exhausting, many hours in car, with basic but clean and safe hotels, and some out-of-this-world landscapes that will make the effort worth it.

      TravelerWritten January 2024

Would it be possible to make the tour on Day 5 little bit longer to arrive to Miscanti and Miniques?

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten January 2024

The new price would be 1865 USD with the new updates. March is one of my favorite months to visit since it's not too crowded and it's the end of the summer. The tour called Red Rocks and Altinplanic Lagoon where you visit Chaxa Lagoon is a full-day tour starting at 7 AM and ending around 5 PM. We can arrange a private tour where you can visit Cejar Lagoon and Miscanti and Miniques but it would cost more.

Is it possible to have single occupancy and a Chinese-speaking guide for the adventure?

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten October 2023

Day 2 Santiago City Tour is a shared tour lasting 4 hours and 20 minutes. We will pick you up from your hotel in the urban area. Recommended to bring comfortable clothing, shoes, sunscreen, and water bottle. Day 3 Viña Concha y Toro Winery Tour is 5 hours and 20 minutes long, starting at 13:00, and includes pickup, transport, entrance fees, wine tasting, and a shared guided tour.

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten October 2023

We have been unable to find a guide who is proficient in the Chinese language. Our standard guided tours include English-speaking guides. These guides are well-versed in local culture and can provide an immersive experience, even without speaking Chinese.
