Itinerary
- Day 1
Cuzco
You'll arrive in Cuzco between 5-6pm where your tour leader and fellow travelers meet up. The evening kicks off with a Peruvian welcome dinner organized at your hotel, giving everyone a chance to get acquainted and settle in after travel.

- Day 2
Cuzco
Start with a walking tour through Cuzco's city centre, checking out the Twelve Angled Stone at Inca Roca Palace, Qoricancha temple, and the cathedral at Plaza de Armas. From there, head out to Sacsayhuaman, an archaeological site overlooking the city. Your afternoon is free for your own exploration, with optional activities available if you want to do more.

Chinchero - Maras - Moray - Ollantaytambo
Travel about 1 hour 15 minutes through the Sacred Valley to reach Chinchero, a weaving community with views of the valley and Vilcabamba mountains. You'll have a traditional Andean pachamanca lunch prepared by locals, where food gets cooked underground with hot stones. After lunch, walk through the ancient salt ponds near Maras and see the circular agricultural terraces at Moray before arriving in Ollantaytambo around 6pm.

- Day 4
Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu
Head to Machu Picchu by catching a train for approximately 1 hour 45 minutes down to Aguas Calientes, the town below the ruins. You'll have free time there to wander around and grab lunch. In the afternoon, take a short bus ride up the winding road to Machu Picchu for a two-hour guided tour of this mountain site. Visiting in the afternoon means fewer crowds and better views once the morning mist clears.

- Day 5
Ollantaytambo - Cuzco
Return to Cuzco by catching the approximately 1 hour 45 minute train back to Ollantaytambo, then transfer through the Sacred Valley over about six to seven hours. In the afternoon, join a private cooking class learning traditional Peruvian dishes. You'll visit a local market to see fruits, vegetables and spices, then work hands-on with a Peruvian chef to prepare a full menu and pisco sour. Enjoy your creations for dinner.

Puno
Take a nine-hour journey from Cuzco across the altiplano heading to Lake Titicaca and the town of Puno. Along the way you'll see towering Andean peaks and rolling plains where vicuñas and alpacas sometimes appear. Several stops break up the drive: the 17th-century Andahuaylillas church, the Inca archaeological site of Raqchi, and La Raya pass offering views of Chimboya Glacier. A box lunch comes along for the ride, and you'll arrive in Puno around 5pm with your evening free to relax.

- Day 7
Uros - Amantani - Puno
Spend the day on a boat adventure across Lake Titicaca visiting two human-made floating islands. First you'll reach Uros to meet residents and learn about life on reed structures. Next comes Amantani island where you'll walk uphill about 30 minutes to a family home for traditional lunch. After, take a one-hour walk to Pachamama summit for ancient ruins and views of snow-capped Cordillera Real peaks, then walk back down over 1 hour 30 minutes before taking a motorboat return to Puno.

Lima
Fly approximately 1 hour 25 minutes from Juliaca Airport to Lima, Peru's capital. In the afternoon, explore the historic centre with your tour leader, visiting the main square, colonial balconies, Jirón de la Unión street and catacombs, then head to the bohemian Barranco district to see colonial mansions. You'll spend seven hours total in vehicles for airport transfers and the city tour. End at Bar Juanito, a Lima icon, for a Peruvian cocktail and butifarra sandwich.
