Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Oslo
You'll land in Oslo and check into your city-centre hotel, then have the afternoon and evening free to explore on your own. Wander through the streets at whatever pace suits you, stop by the royal palace if you want to see it, or head down Karl Johan's street where there's plenty of shops, bars, and cafés to check out.

- Day 2
Oslo
Today you can spend as much time as you like exploring Oslo, or you can join an optional guided bus tour that runs for about 5 hours with a local guide. The tour hits Holmenkollen Ski Jump, Vigeland Sculpture Park, and the Fram and Viking Ship Museums. If you go with the tour or plan to use public transport, pick up a 24-hour Oslo Pass which covers free rides and entry to major attractions.

Oslo to Balestrand
Head to Oslo train station between 07:00 and 07:15 to start your fjord journey. You'll take the Bergen Railway to Myrdal, then switch to the famous Flamsbana railway line that climbs through the mountains with great views of waterfalls, cliffs, and 20 tunnels carved into the rock. Once you reach the village of Flam and have time to look around, you'll board a cruise that takes you through Sognefjord and Aurlandsfjord, ending up in Balestrand.

- Day 4
Balestrand
You have a free day to do what you like in the area, or you can sign up for an optional half-day glacier excursion. That trip includes seeing Boyabreen and Supphellebreen glaciers, visiting the Norwegian Glacier Museum, and taking a scenic boat ride through Fjaerland Fjord. If you want to do this, it's better to book ahead.

Balestrand to Bergen
Later in the afternoon, you'll board a fast boat heading to Bergen, a UNESCO World Heritage city and one of the main starting points for exploring Norway's fjords. The city combines nature, culture, and city life in an interesting way. If you have some time before heading to your accommodation, the Magic Ice Bar is an unusual option worth considering.

Bergen
Spend your time in Bergen exploring on your own or with a guide if you prefer. Walk through the historic Hanseatic Bryggen district, check out St. Mary's Church, visit Haakon's Fortress, and spend time at the famous fish market where there's always activity and fresh seafood. Take the Floibanen Funicular up Mount Floyen for views over the city and surrounding areas. A 24-hour Bergen City Card covers public transport and museum entry if you plan to visit multiple places.

Departure from Bergen
Before heading to the airport, you'll have time to pick up any last-minute Viking souvenirs or gifts. Sort out your transport to the airport either by arranging it yourself or by booking a transfer in advance.
