Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast in Arusha, you'll drive through northern Tanzania's landscape heading toward Tarangire National Park. The scenery gets more open as you go, with those distinctive baobab trees becoming more visible. Once you arrive, an afternoon game drive takes you out to see what's around. Elephants tend to congregate here in large numbers, and you've got a good chance of spotting lions, giraffes, and buffalo as well. The Tarangire River is where a lot of the wildlife gathers, so that's typically where the driver focuses, especially if it's dry season. Birds are everywhere too if you're into that. Depending on what you see, the drive might last a few hours into early evening.

Ngorongoro Crater
You'll head out after breakfast toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. When you get there, the real experience starts as you descend about 600 meters down into the crater itself. The crater floor is massive, and you're essentially spending the whole day driving around this natural formation. Different habitats exist down there like lakes, forests, and grassland, which means you'll see different animals in different spots. Rhinos, lions, leopards, elephants, and hippos all live in here. Around midday, lunch happens at a scenic location inside the crater where animals might wander past while you eat. As afternoon comes on, the drive back up the crater rim takes you back to your lodge by evening.

Maasai Village and Return to Arusha
This final day switches from wildlife to people. You'll visit a traditional Maasai village where you can see how daily life actually works for them. They'll show you how they herd livestock, create beadwork, and what their traditions involve, plus you'll likely see traditional dances. It's a different kind of experience after two days focused on animals. After spending a few hours there, the drive back to Arusha wraps up your safari. You'll leave from Arusha to head out, so make sure transport is arranged in advance.
