Itinerary
- Day 1
Riad to Dades Gorge
An 8:00 AM pickup from your Riad kicks things off, and you'll climb through the Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2,260 meters while driving through the High Atlas Mountains and passing Berber villages on your way to Ouarzazate. Lunch happens in Ouarzazate, then you'll travel the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs, stop at Kalaat Mgouna (the Rose Kasbah), and reach Dades Gorge for dinner and overnight.

Dades Gorge to Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, you head to Tinhir and Todra Gorges where canyon walls reach 300 meters high, and you'll drive through palm groves with a lunch stop at a local restaurant. Near Erfoud, there's a fossil craft workshop to visit before continuing to the Erg Chebbi dunes. You'll have tea and then take a camel ride through the dunes to watch the sunset, finishing the night in a luxury camp with traditional dinner.

Erg Chebbi to Agdez
Get up early to hike the dune and catch the sunrise, then have breakfast and shower back at camp before camel trekking through Erg Chebbi dunes back to Merzouga. From there you drive to Rissani, an ancient capital and important camel caravan market town where you can visit the big Souk. The route continues through the Draa Valley, one of Morocco's longest palm grove valleys, where you'll see adobe Kasbahs and Berber villages along the way. You'll arrive in Agdez early evening for dinner and overnight.

Agdez to Marrakech
Begin with breakfast and then visit Kasbah Taourirt, a significant historical monument to the Glaoui, followed by touring the Studio Cinema. Head to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah (30 km from Ouarzazate), a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as a filming location for Gladiator, The Mummy, and Alexander, and spend time exploring before having a local lunch. You'll drive through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n'Tichka pass to reach Marrakech early evening for a relaxing night at your Riad or Hotel.
