Douro Valley

Vega de Terrón

Salamanca
Head to Salamanca for a guided walking tour of the 'Golden City.' You'll see the Plaza Mayor with its galleries and arcades, Casa de las Conchas with over 300 decorative shells, and the historic university from 1218. The evening ends with a traditional tuna music band performance.

Régua
From Pocinho, travel to the medieval town of Castelo Rodrigo to explore its fortress and local products. After lunch back on the ship, you'll take a Port wine cocktail lesson while sailing toward Régua.

Lamego
Visit the Baroque village of Lamego and see the Shrine of Our Lady of Remedies overlooking the town. If you're up for it, walk down 686 steps from the Sanctuary. Later you'll have a rural lunch at Quinta da Pacheca and learn about Portuguese mosaic painting on board.

Lyon
