You'll land in Santiago with the Pacific visible to your left and the Andes rising to your right. After settling into your hotel, the afternoon is yours to explore. Head to Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral if you want history, or check out the Pre-Columbian Art Museum for Latin American art. Cerro San Cristobal offers a cable car or hike up to city views if you prefer heights.

Santiago de Chile
This morning you'll walk through Santiago's different neighborhoods at your own pace. The Italia district has hidden courtyard cafés, boutiques, and antique shops worth browsing. Later, head to Lastarria for its 20th-century buildings and flea markets, then grab a pisco sour at Chipe Libre bar. By evening, you'll reach La Vega Market with its crowded aisles of produce, cheese, and meats.

Santiago to Punta Arenas to Torres del Paine
You'll fly from Santiago to Punta Arenas, then pick up a rental car and drive into Patagonia. Turquoise lakes, snow-capped mountains, and wide open steppe surround you as you drive toward Torres del Paine National Park. Guanacos and ostriches dot the landscape. You'll reach your accommodation by evening in the middle of wild, untamed scenery.

Torres del Paine National Park
Today is an 18-kilometer hike to see the famous Torres towers. The trail takes you through rushing streams, rugged cliffs, and turquoise glacial lakes. You'll pass Refugio Chileno during your trek, then tackle the final steep section over loose stone. At Mirador Base Las Torres, the towering peaks and glowing turquoise lagoon come into view before you head back down.

- Day 6
Torres del Paine National Park
You'll return to Torres del Paine today to see Lago Grey and the Grey Glacier at the edge of the southern Patagonian ice field. From Mirador Glacier Grey viewpoint, chunks of ice float in the 500-meter-deep blue water creating an incredible sight. Later, you'll head to Salto Grande waterfall where extreme winds and crashing water make for an intense experience.

Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas
Your final morning in Patagonia involves one last drive through the landscape where guanacos roam. You'll return your rental car at Punta Arenas airport, then walk along the promenade to Mirador Cerro De La Cruz for city views. From there, check out the city center and visit the Magellan Monument on Plaza de Armas surrounded by green space.

Punta Arenas to Ushuaia
A ferry crossing takes you across the Strait of Magellan where dolphins and whales might appear in the water. After that, a scenic bus ride passes through dramatic mountain and coastline views. You'll arrive in Ushuaia, the southernmost city on earth, where salt-tinged breezes greet you. Stroll Avenida San Martín and get some rest for the next day's activities.

Ushuaia
Start this morning at the famous 'Fin del mundo' sign right on the waterfront for photos. Next, head to Feria de Artesanía with its street art penguins and gallery space. Later, visit the Sunken Ship opposite Plaza Don Bosco in the Beagle Channel where you might spot seals and get more photo opportunities.

Ushuaia
You'll take a taxi about 7 kilometers to the Martial Glacier trailhead. Choose between a chairlift or walking to start the hike, then walk step by step to the glacier's base. The real payoff isn't the ice itself but the panoramic views down into the valley where Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel sit far below. By evening, stroll along the waterfront at sunset.

Today you'll experience Tierra del Fuego from the water on a boat tour through the Beagle Channel. As Ushuaia fades from view, you'll spot the red and white striped lighthouse on a small rock and see seals and birds perched on rocks. Penguins might waddle into sight as well. Standing on deck, you'll feel the wind and reflect on your journey so far.

Ushuaia to Buenos Aires
You'll fly from Ushuaia to Buenos Aires, leaving southern Argentina behind as the plane rises. Stop at El Ateneo Grand Splendid, a former theater now housing a bookshop.
