Can one use credit card in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand

    Payments
    • Emerald CruisesOperatorWritten January 2025

Yes, you can pay by credit card in Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia, but there are some nuances to keep in mind: Major cities: Credit cards are widely accepted in hotels, upscale restaurants, shopping malls, and tourist spots. Smaller towns/rural areas: Cash is preferred, as card acceptance might be limited. Common cards: Visa, MasterCard, and sometimes American Express.
