  1. Day 1

    Bourgogne to Lyon

    You'll travel through Burgundy with time to explore the vineyards and stop in Beaune for wandering on your own. From there, you head to Lyon, sitting along the Rhône River where you can take a cable car up to Notre-Dame de Fourvière to see the city spread out below. The afternoon leaves you free to walk around and check things out. Depending on your group, you might end up staying in Chambéry instead, which is nearby.

  2. Day 2

    Lyon to Fribourg via Geneva, Lausanne, and Gruyères

    Your day in Switzerland starts in Geneva where you'll see the Palace of Nations, stroll through the English Garden to find the flower clock, and view the Jet d'Eau fountain shooting up from the lake. Then you travel to Lausanne along Lake Geneva's shoreline and visit the Olympic Park. Next comes the medieval walled town of Gruyères where you'll go to the Cailler Chocolate Factory and get to taste the chocolate. You finish the evening in Fribourg, which has both French and German influences, and spend time in its old town.

  3. Day 3

    Fribourg to Chiasso via Bern, Interlaken, Susten Pass, and Lugano

    Starting in Bern canton, you'll drive on small roads with forests and fields around you, and there's a photo stop along the way. After that, you reach Interlaken positioned between two lakes. The Aare Gorge is next on your route with included tickets and lunch provided. Crossing the Susten Pass brings views of eternal snow and glaciers that you'll stop to take in. From there, you pass through the Gotthard Tunnel into the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, visit the charming lakeside village of Gandria, then board an included boat that takes you to Lugano. You arrive in Chiasso later in the afternoon.

  4. Day 4

    Chiasso to Zurich via Bellinzona, Gotthard Pass, Altdorf, and Lucerne

    After breakfast, you head to Bellinzona, the capital of Italian-speaking Switzerland, known for its three medieval castles. There's time to walk through the town center before you return to German-speaking Switzerland through the Gotthard Pass with a photo stop at a scenic viewpoint. You'll visit Altdorf, the birthplace of William Tell. Free time comes next so you can grab lunch. Then you travel to Lucerne to see the Kapellbrücke, Lion Monument, cathedral, Jesuit Church, and its old town. You should arrive in Zurich by evening.

    Zurich to Strasbourg via Basel, Colmar, and Riquewihr

    You leave Zurich heading to Basel on the Rhine where Germany and France meet. The old town there has a standout Town Hall Square and a cathedral overlooking the river worth exploring. Moving into Alsace, France, you stop in Colmar to see its unique architecture, wooden houses, and charming canals with time for lunch and a walk. Later you reach Riquewihr, a fairy-tale medieval village with cobblestone streets and colorful buildings. By evening you're in Strasbourg, and you might want to walk through the Cathedral area and Petite France before settling in.

    Strasbourg to Paris via Champagne Region

    Strasbourg is your focus today as the capital of Alsace and home to the European Parliament. You'll walk through medieval streets, see the Gothic cathedral, wander canals lined with flowers, and take an included boat trip through Petite France's waterways. Then you continue to the Champagne region where you visit a traditional cellar with a guided tour and tasting to learn how the world's most famous sparkling wine gets made. There's a brief stop in Épernay so you can stroll through this important winery town. By evening you'll arrive in Paris.
