You'll arrive in Bordeaux by 3 pm, which gives you a few hours to walk around this wine capital on your own before heading to the ship. The evening brings a scenic sail along the Garonne, so you can settle in and watch the river from the deck as the light fades.

- Day 2
Bordeaux to Pauillac
This morning starts with a wine sommelier talking through the basics of what you'll be tasting throughout the day. After that, you pick between touring Château de la Brède (where Montesquieu was born) or doing a wine tasting at a local estate that focuses on Sauternes. By evening, you're back on ship for live entertainment.

- Day 3
Cussac Fort Médoc to Blaye
Following a relaxed cruise to Cussac Fort Méoc, you'll visit the Adventure Center and select one of three activities: e-bike ride through Bordeaux vineyards, a Margaux château tour with wine tasting, or a scenic drive through Médoc wine country sampling Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Later, the ship sails toward Blaye.

Blaye to Bourg
Your morning has three different options depending on what interests you most. You can either power walk through Blaye's historic citadel, take a guided tour that includes an art gallery and wine tasting, or drive along Route de la Corniche and then visit a UNESCO heritage site. In the afternoon, you've got choices too: you can sail or bike over to Bourg to explore the citadel and carriage museum, plus there's an optional cognac tasting if that appeals to you.

Libourne - Saint-Émilion
You've got several ways to spend your time while docked in Libourne. Head to the medieval village of Saint-Émilion for a guided walk through its historic streets and a wine tasting that shows you what makes this Bordeaux region so famous. If that's not your preference, take an orientation walk through Libourne's 12th-century fortified town and get a feel for the local history. There's also an onboard lecture from a history expert covering WWII if you'd rather stay closer to the ship. You'll be staying overnight here, so you can take your time with whichever option appeals to you.

Bordeaux - Arcachon
While you're docked in Bordeaux, you can choose between a couple of solid options. Visit La Cité du Vin, the city's wine museum and cultural center, to learn about wine production and history in a really well-designed space. Or go for a full-day guided tour down to Arcachon on the Atlantic coast, where you'll see the 19th-century seaside resort architecture and try local oysters paired with wine. You're staying overnight in Bordeaux, so you have the flexibility to explore at your own pace depending on which direction interests you more.
