How many people have booked onto this tour?

We currently have 16 booked on, 13 females and 3 male.

Is it possible for a solo traveler to have his own cabin? What would that cost? Does a YS citizen need a visa to travel in Croatia? What dates are acailable in September 2025?

A solo traveller can have their own cabin if there is availability. This comes at an extra cost. The cost for this would depend on whether it is upper or lower deck. The cost of this will be roughly £1,320 - £1,196. We have 2 available dates in September. These are September 6th and September 13th.

Is there really an age limit for this sailing adventure???

Here at TruTravels, our tours are for those 18-30s and we have a upper age cut off at 45.

can you provide more info on what the accommodations include? Is there AC, wifi, fresh towels, drinking water, etc?

The accommodation is a traditional Croatian sailing boat. Cabins are twin share bunks and all come with AC. Wifi is free and available in the common areas but not in the cabins. Drinking water is available in the common area 24/7. Small towels are provided but its recommended that you bring your own if you want large bath towels. Upper deck cabins are en-suite and lower deck cabins have shared bathroom facilities.

Is there really an age restriction? We are both over 39 and are very active!

In regards to our age restrictions, our trips are designed for 18-30s with a maximum cutoff of 45 years old so you are all set!

I am interested in booking a sailing tour for September 2026. When do bookings for these dates open?

At the moment we are working on our Croatia trips for 2026 and looking to see if we want to do another season. If we release 2026 dates, we will not have this till towards the end of this year.

Do you pay agent's commission?

We do have availability on this date, however only in upper-deck cabins, are you interested in this cabin type?

Is there the ability to book a room as a solo traveler without having another person placed in the room with me. I'm a single man and would like to have a private room if possible.

In regards to your enquiry, this is possible (depending on availability), the My Own Room supplement is approximately an additional 70% of the trip cost. On the 28th June, 2025 departure, I can see there is no availability for My Own Room supplement on the Lower Deck (however there is one shared cabin available), and some availability on the Upper Deck Rooms (subject to availability).

When is checkout on the last day of the tour?

Check out is usually around 9am on the final day.

Will there be more dates offered later in September or only the week of the 6th. We were hoping on going between the 18th-30th at some point if options become available.

Trip was good overall. Our tour guide Lana was amazing, kind and very informative. One complaint is that on the tour radar site, it says that airport pickup is included, however it was not included and the tour company was not willing to accommodate despite the website being incorrect which was frustrating. The rooms were also not that great, I paid extra for a top deck room however there was a leak in our bathroom. Whenever we flushed the toilet water would come out of the bottom and seep onto the floor. As a result, the bathroom stunk for the entirety of the trip. The rooms were also very small. That being said, the captain and crew were amazing. The rest of the ship was great and the food onboard was very good. I also enjoyed the itinerary and that we got to see some of the less touristy islands on the trip. The daily swim spots were beautiful. Overall, I would recommend the trip.Show more

The overall experience was excellent! Though I've been on trips with solo travel groups before, I'd never taken one on a sail boat. The explanations and everything leading up to the tour was transparent and very clear. The itinerary had to change due to weather conditions but the guide and the crew did a great job of keeping the adventure going and keeping us out of harm's way. If the itinerary wasn't sent out beforehand, I wouldn't have even known these were deviations from the original plan because it wall still worked out great!Show more

Best trip of my life! Created some core memories with some lovely people and Frankie was an amazing tour guide who looked after us so well. We didn’t need to worry about a thing and she really brought the magic to our trip! We went to some amazing places and the food, crew, and sights far exceeded what I was expecting. I would recommend this tour to anyone thinking of it. We always got the most warm comforting welcome from both the crew and Frankie everyday and got to experience the real Croatia. Amalia was the most incredible guide! Despite not being from Croatia it was clear that she had taken the time to research the country and ensure she was able to not only do her job well but to expedite expectations! (and she did!) She knew basics in the language everything about the local area and able to recommend good spots to visit. Her attention to detail was impeccable, she included everyone all the time and made sure that everyone was accommodated for at every minute of the trip! It's very clear to me that Amalia loves her job and takes pride in doing it well. If only I was rich enough i would hire Amalia to be my personal tour guide for all my holidays!Show more

The most important part of any organized group trip is in my opinion the guide. In this case our group was very fortunate to have Tess as a guide as she went above and beyond to ensure everyone on the trip enjoyed it as much as possible. She was boundlessly energetic and always ready to lift the spirits of tired group members, ensured the group bonded and made the entire trip an enjoyable experience with the information provided. There were always briefings about the days activities at meal times which were followed with reminder information on the group chat. She fully participated in the nights out and even when briefly ill she still stayed out till the early hours to ensure the group had a great night. In my experience, people who go above and beyond to ensure people have the best experience possible are a huge asset to companies such as tru travel and she has definitely influenced me to take further trips with tru travels. Our travel ninja (the amazing Tess) went above and beyond to make everyone feel included and have the maximum amount of fun. Tess was absolutely sensational and made a great trip even better.
