Do I need to return to Tokyo for my flight at the end of the tour? Are there transportation options or an airport in the last city of the tour?

We offer a return train back to Tokyo at the end of the tour for $330AUD. Trains from Hiroshima to Tokyo run from 6am to 8pm, leaving twice every hour. The journey takes 4 hours and arrives at Tokyo main station.

I am keen on this tour and would like to understand the cancellation process and if the tour is rescheduled due to numbers how early notice is given. Is it also possible to pay in installments? I may also require accomodation before and after. In addition, Is it possible to list all the optional activities not mentioned that I can add on as I would like to see and do as much as possible as it will be my first trip to Japan.

If you need to cancel your booking with One Life Adventures you will need to notify us in writing. For cancellations received 61+ days before departure, loss of deposit. For cancellations received 60-31 days before departure, 50% of the total tour cost will be lost. For cancellations received less than 30 days prior to departure, the full tour cost will be lost. The minimum number for a group to run is 5, your chosen date does already have 3 people booked on board. Paying in Instalments is a popular method of payment! You can secure your spot on tour today by paying a deposit, then full payment will be needed no later than 60 days prior to your chosen tour starting. Optional extra activities include: Sushi Making Class, Tea Ceremony Camellia, Tea Ceremony Camellia & Kimono Rental, Samurai and Ninji Museum Experience, TeamLab Botanical Garden Osaka, Osaka Backstreet Tour, Traditional Archery Experience.

Is the departure date confirmed? What happens if you are not able to fill all the spaces, would the tour still start on the same date? If I want to join the group tour with departure date of 1st june, what time do I need to arrive at the accomodation?

This tour is currently a guaranteed departure! And we would expect to see more spaces fill over the next few weeks. The tour itself will commence around 6pm where you will meet up with your fellow travellers ready for your welcome dinner. It will take around 1 hour to get from the airport to the first accommodation using Japan's reliable public transportation system.

Is this ok for someone 40 years old on a tour with age cut off at 39?

How many people have booked this trip for June 1st? How many people (on average) are on the trips? What are the average ages of group members and tour guide? How will luggage be handled? I am planning on adding days to the beginning and end of this tour. Is that alright?

Can I please ask can I do this tour solo? and does this include flights? or is it only the tour for 13 days?

Of course you can, we do in fact see a lot of solo travellers join our group tours! In fact, over half of our travellers tend to be travelling solo. The prices of our tours do not include international flights as we understand that each and every traveller has their own travel preferences when it comes to flying, for example, seating arrangements, flight times, airlines.

When looking at the hotel accommodations, it looks like a large portion of sleeping arrangements are through hostels. My wife and I are traveling together and would like to know if there are options to have sleeping arrangements made where we would not be sharing a room with other people.

Our Essentials tour is the budget friendly choice for a Japan adventure, hostels are used each night to keep costs down, as well as less inclusions and more free time. We do in fact have an award winning Classic tour that does offer upgraded accommodations throughout the whole trip, with most being twin share hotel rooms, you will even get the opportunity to stay in a temple! Our Classic tour does also focus more on inclusions, with not much free time.

We are two friends and would like to book this tour. Only problem is we will be 41 years old at the time - would that be a problem?

Can I book flights through you?

As just a tour operator, we do not assist with booking international flights as we understand each and every traveller has their own preferences when it comes to flying. Our tour commences at 5:30pm on day 1 where you will meet up with your fellow travellers ready for your welcome dinner, I would recommend landing lunch time or morning to ensure you make it to the meeting point ready for this activity, however fear not, the welcome dinner is not compulsory as we do understand that some people wont be landing until the evening.

what is the difference between these 2 tours Japan 13 days and Japan 14 days

13-day Essentials tour is our more budget version trip of Japan, with a perfect balance of free time along with pre organised activities.   We do currently have 4 people booked on board this departure, with surrounding dates already having over 10 guests booked! In 2024, our tours commencing around your selected date went ahead with an average group size of 13. The average age is currently 22 years old. Our Japan Essentials tour tends to see an average age of around 28 once the tour commences, this can differ from group to group. We would highly recommend bringing no more than 15kg on this trip, and bringing a backpack instead of a suitcase if you can. The luggage limit on the Shinkansen (bullet train) is very strict. Bags over 160cm cannot be accommodated. We do offer pre night accommodation that can be added to your booking at the checkout, this will be at the same accommodation that we use for the first night on tour.

The prices of our tours do not include international flights as we understand that each and every traveller has their own travel preferences when it comes to flying, for example, seating arrangements, flight times, airlines.

When looking at the hotel accommodations, it looks like a large portion of sleeping arrangements are through hostels. My wife and I are traveling together and would like to know if there are options to have sleeping arrangements made where we would not be sharing a room with other people.

We do in fact have an award winning Classic tour that does offer upgraded accommodations throughout the whole trip, with most being twin share hotel rooms, you will even get the opportunity to stay in a temple! Our Classic tour does also focus more on inclusions, with not much free time.

  As just a tour operator, we do not assist with booking international flights as we understand each and every traveller has their own preferences when it comes to flying. Our tour commences at 5:30pm on day 1 where you will meet up with your fellow travellers ready for your welcome dinner, I would recommend landing lunch time or morning to ensure you make it to the meeting point ready for this activity, however fear not, the welcome dinner is not compulsory as we do understand that some people wont be landing until the evening.

Stays will be in hostels and multi share dorm rooms, shared with other travellers from your tour group. 14-day award winning Classic tour focuses more on inclusions with an action packed itinerary and less free time. Accommodation will be upgraded, staying in a mixture of twin share hotel rooms, pod style dorms and unique temple stays.

  Both tours end in Hiroshima so I need to make my way to Osaka, correct.

  We do have an age requirement of 18-45 as we do see most travellers be aged between 21-39, however as long you are comfortable with that then we welcome you with open arms!

  We do offer a return train back to Tokyo from Hiroshima on the day that the tour comes to an end. If you would like to travel to Osaka from Hiroshima, a train ticket can be purchased upon arrival in Japan from English speaking kiosks, our tour guide can assist you with this if needed.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 24th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 24th, 2026, a minimum payment of $250 is required to confirm your booking with One Life Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and One Life Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "One Life Adventures" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
