Itinerary
- Day 1
Lima to Puerto Maldonado
You'll fly from Lima to Puerto Maldonado and head straight into the Amazon. After landing, there's a guided tour at the Inkaterra Butterfly House to see what you're getting into. Then you'll take a motorised canoe down the Madre de Dios River to reach your lodge. Your English-speaking guides will meet with you that evening to figure out which activities work best for the days ahead.

- Day 2
Puerto Maldonado (Amazon)
This day is yours to shape. You can walk the rainforest canopy for a different view of the jungle, or take a cruise on the Madre de Dios River heading toward Lake Sandoval or Gamitana Creek. From there you'll spot monkeys, birds, tortoises and caimans. Other options include visiting a local village or joining a night tour to see how the rainforest changes after dark. Your guides will help you choose what fits your interests.

Landmarks Madre de Dios River - Day 4
Puerto Maldonado to Lima
Time to head back toward civilization. You'll transfer to Puerto Maldonado airport for your flight to Lima. Once you land in Peru's capital, you'll transfer to your hotel and settle in for the night.

Lima to Guayaquil
Head to the airport for your flight from Lima to Guayaquil, Ecuador's largest city. The afternoon is open, so you can either relax at your hotel or take an optional city tour that includes the Cemetery, the Parque Seminario filled with iguanas, and the historic Barrio Las Peñas neighbourhood.

Guayaquil to Galápagos Islands
You'll fly to Baltra Island in the Galápagos, then drive to Itabaca Channel and ferry over to Santa Cruz Island. After lunch at a local restaurant in the highlands, you'll head to Puerto Ayora. Before boarding the Yacht Isabela II, you'll check out the Charles Darwin Research Station and Giant Tortoise Breeding Center, plus walk along Puerto Ayora's main street. That evening you'll board the yacht, raise a glass at the Captain's Welcome Cocktail, and have dinner on board.

Bartolome and Santiago Islands
Start at Bartolome Island by climbing wooden stairs to the summit for views across the islands. Then board a panga and ride around Pinnacle Rock, spotting Galápagos penguins, dolphins and other marine life. After lunch, you'll cruise to Santiago Island's Sullivan Bay with its white coral sand beach for swimming, or walk through some striking lava fields if you prefer staying dry.

- Day 8
Santa Cruz and Santiago Islands
Walk at Dragon Hill on Santa Cruz Island's north coast and reach a brackish lagoon where you'll see shorebirds, ducks and American flamingos. Continue inland for scenic views and look for land iguanas. Later you'll snorkel in clear waters spotting rays, green turtles and sharks. After lunch, explore Buccaneer Cove on Santiago Island where you'll learn about regional history and spot marine birds, sea lions and unique rock formations. You can choose between snorkelling, panga rides or glass-bottom boat exploration depending on what appeals to you.

Isabela and Fernandina Islands
Explore Isabela Island to see Galápagos fur seals, nesting Nazca boobies, penguins and marine iguanas. If weather cooperates, you'll snorkel along the cliffs. Later you'll head to Fernandina, the youngest island in the archipelago, where the ecosystem remains largely untouched with hawks, penguins, flightless cormorants and countless marine iguanas. A live volcano dominates the landscape here.
