Itinerary
- Day 1
Paris
You'll arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport where a Uniworld representative meets you if you've booked the group transfer or arranged private transportation. From there, they'll get you to the ship for your journey to begin.



- Day 2
Giverny
This morning you can either hike the scenic crests or visit Château de La Roche-Guyon with its gardens overlooking the Seine. Later in the day, you'll head to Monet's gardens by either bike through the countryside or by coach, depending on which option you choose.

- Day 3
Rouen
In Rouen, you'll walk through the medieval quarter and see the cathedral that Monet painted repeatedly, plus the site where Joan of Arc was martyred. You can attend a private concert at the cathedral, then either take a walking tour of the Dukes' capital or visit a Camembert cheese farm.

- Day 4
Caudebec-en-Caux
Based in Caudebec-en-Caux, you have two different options for the day. You can drive to Honfleur, a harbor town filled with painters' history, or head out to the cliffs at Étretat for golf.

Normandy Beaches
You'll spend the full day on Normandy's D-Day beaches, choosing between American, British and Commonwealth, or Canadian sites. After visiting your chosen areas, you'll participate in a private memorial ceremony to honor Operation Overlord.

- Day 6
Versailles
You'll tour the private rooms of the Palace of Versailles and learn how French rulers lived through the centuries in this grand palace built by the Sun King.

Paris
Paris offers choices for everyone today, whether you're visiting for the first time or returning. You can take a panoramic overview of the city or walk through specific neighborhoods like the Latin Quarter with a local guide.

- Day 8
Paris to Champagne
You'll leave the S.S. Joie de Vivre and head to Gare de Lyon for a champagne reception before boarding the Golden Eagle Danube Express. As the train moves through the French countryside toward Champagne, you'll tour a vineyard and taste AOC-protected sparkling wine.

- Day 9
Champagne to Vienna
The train winds through the Alps and Austrian countryside on your way to Vienna. You can relax in your cabin with an attendant at hand or enjoy views from the Bar Lounge Car. By evening you'll arrive in Vienna for dinner and a private classical concert with the Vienna Supreme Orchestra.

Vienna to Postojna Caves

Sofia
The morning offers a relaxing time in the Bar Lounge Car as you head toward Sofia. Later you'll attend a private performance by the Vanya Moneva Choir in Alexander Nevsky Cathedral's crypt.

You'll arrive in Istanbul, the city straddling Europe and Asia, and transfer to the Four Seasons Sultanahmet for a one-night stay. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace, then you'll join a Farewell Dinner on the Bosphorus in the evening.
