  How long until you would decide if the tour was to go ahead or not as I notice it's a minimum of 2ppl to run the tour. If I book and pay deposit and then the tour is cancelled how long would the notice period and refund be?

    Our group tours are open for solo travellers to join, and once you confirm your booking, your departure will be guaranteed on your selected date. Typically, our groups have more than two participants. In the unlikely event that no other travellers join your departure, the tour will still operate as scheduled. However, in that case, a single supplement cost will apply. We do not cancel confirmed departures due to minimum numbers once a booking has been made.

    You need to pay tentative amount in below. Nepal: Entrance fees during sightseeing around USD 40-50, Lunch/Dinner in Kathmandu & Pokhara - 15-20 per day, Normally Tips Guide USD 7-10 per day and Driver USD 3-5 per day all the tour. Tibet: flight from kathmandu to Lhasa USD 500-600, Entry permit Everest Base camp USD 150, Lunch and Dinner around USD 15-20 per day. Bhutan: Kathmandu to Paro and back to Kathmandu flight Around USD 450-500. Make Yourself flight ticket from Kathmandu to Lhasa. You will have to book the flight ticket from Kathmandu to Bhutan yourself.

    For the flights, I there a specific time I should organise them for? Morning, afternoon etc. Are transfer to/from airport included or do I need to arrange these also? I read somewhere that you organise the visas? Is this correct or do I need to do this myself also?

    Normally, flights are scheduled in the morning. I will arrange your transport for both arrival and departure. For Nepal, you can obtain your visa on arrival at Kathmandu Airport. A Tibet visa is not required for Australian citizens; I will arrange your Tibet travel permit for you. I will also arrange your Bhutan visa and send it to you before your arrival.

    on the program for day 17 it mentions an alternative activity for a day trip to Haa Valley. I was wondering if I could extend my tour and do this activity on day 18 and then make my departure day on the day 19? If this is possible, could you please let me know how much additional this cost would be.

    I can't seem to find any flights for the 14th of December from Kathmandu to Lhasa. They are all next day arrival - for example, if I leave on 14th, then they don't arrive to Lhasa until mid-morning on the 15th. If I want to arrive on 14th in Lhasa, then I need to leave Khathmandu on the 13th at either 12.30pm or 5pm. Could you please recommend an airline that will do the same day flights?

    Yes, we can absolutely extend your itinerary to include Day 19. You can do the day trip to Haa Valley on Day 18 and then depart on Day 19 as planned. The additional cost for this extension will be USD 380.

    Regarding your flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa, currently Himalayan Air is the only airline operating this route. I can see that due to the limited schedule, same day arrivals are not available if you depart on the 14th. To arrive in Lhasa on the 14th, you would need to take the evening flight on the 13th, which arrives the following morning.

    Only one day hiking in Bhutan for Tigers nest. You will be all over the area by drive not for trekking. Even though you will be at Everest Base Camp with a vehicle therefore no need to do trekking in tibet and Nepal.

    I read that the schedule of Himalaya Airlines for the flights from Kathmandu to Lhasa may change seasonally. If the flight changes to another day, would you rearrange the itinerary within the same start and end dates, or would the start and end dates change?

    At the end our return flight from Bhutan to Kathmandu may arrive in the morning and our flight home may leave late in the evening. Would our visa permit reentry into Nepal, and would there be things to do in Kathmandu that were not covered by sightseeing on the first day?

    Yes, you are correct. We handle the visas and permits for Tibet and Bhutan. You can obtain the visa for Nepal on arrival or online.

    The flight doesn't cancel in normal circumstance. In case that happens, then we change the date to another date for the Kathmandu to Lhasa flight which changes the start and end dates.

    You will have to take the multiple entry visa when you first make the visa in Nepal so that you can re entry in Nepal. If you have enough time when you arrive from Bhutan to Kathmandu, then you can do the Bhaktapur Durbar Square sightseeing.

  How much time traveling in cars? Is there a version of the itinerary that details travel time each day? I am interested in a more active tour where a lot of the time is spent moving around (walking / hiking).

    I completely understand your concern about the long driving days especially in Tibet, where the travel distances are greater compared to Nepal and Bhutan. If you would prefer an alternative itinerary that excludes Tibet to reduce drive time, then we have the following alternative itinerary.

    Our tour consists of solo travellers joining together to form the Group tour. Our group size is 2-10 people. When you book the tour, it will be guaranteed departure. For the Tibet and Bhutan visa, we will be applying this for you. You can get your Nepal visa on arrival. This price includes the Bhutan visa fee as well as the Bhutan daily fee of USD 100 but it doesn't include the Tibet visa fee.

  Is there a single supplement fee? If I read the info correctly in addition to the cost there is: $150 EBC permit $125 Tibet Visa fee. Would I also need a Chinese visa for Tibet? I am somewhat flexible on departure date, I can do Nov 10, 17 or 24 with a preference for Nov 17. When can you typically confirm that a trip is going ahead?

    Single Supplement (private room throughout): USD 300. You do not need a separate Chinese visa for Tibet. We will apply for a Tibet Group Visa, not a standard China visa. We handle this for you in Kathmandu once the Tibet permit is approved. UK passport holders typically have slightly lower visa fees (USD 125) compared to US passport holders (USD 215). We are looking to match you with other travellers to confirm the group departure.

  Can you confirm this tour does not climb to the Tiger's Nest but only goes as far as the tea house stop half way up? The rest of the tour sounds great, but I am only interested in a tour that climbs to the Monastery itself.

    Yes, this itinerary currently includes a visit to Tiger's Nest, however, we can modify it to suit your preferences. Instead of hiking to Tiger's Nest, I will revise the itinerary so that you can enjoy visits to the following cultural and historical sites: Tachog Lhakhang, Dumtseg Lhakhang, Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong), National Museum of Bhutan.

    The itinerary reads like the tour only goes half way up towards the Tiger's Nest especially since it mentions 1 1/2-2 hr hike which is less than half the time typically quoted. I want to hike to the Tiger's Nest. Your message indicates it does but the on-line itinerary does not, so I was trying to get clarification.

    For fit individuals, the hike to Tiger's Nest typically takes around 2 hours, which is why the itinerary reflects that duration. However, please rest assured that the hike does go all the way to the monastery itself. You are welcome to walk at your own pace. We have allocated enough time to ensure everyone can complete the hike comfortably.
