Riga
A private guide walks you through Riga's old town, showing you the medieval streets and historic buildings like the Three Brothers. You'll see the Art Nouveau architecture that defines so much of the city. By evening, head to the market halls to try some Latvian cuisine and see what local food looks like here.

Riga to Klaipeda
You'll drive south through the Latvian and Lithuanian countryside to reach Klaipeda, a harbor town with a different character. The old town has German-influenced half-timbered houses and cobbled streets to walk around. Look for the bronze statue of Äännchen von Tharau while you're exploring.

Klaipeda
Travel to the Curonian Spit, a UNESCO site, and take the ferry out to this sand peninsula. After arriving, climb up 159 steps to reach the top of the Great Dune. The views from up there stretch out over the Baltic Sea.

Klaipeda to Kaunas
You'll head to Kaunas, Lithuania's second-largest city. Check out the 13th-century castle and then walk through Santakos Park, which sits between two of Lithuania's largest rivers. The park gives you a nice sense of how the city's built around water.

Kaunas to Vilnius
Stop in Trakai first to see the Gothic island castle positioned in a scenic lake. After that, continue on to Vilnius for a city tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the old town and see the many churches and baroque architecture scattered throughout.

Vilnius to Sigulda
Make your way to the Hill of Crosses in Siauliai, a sacred site where over 15,000 crosses have been placed by believers. Later, head to Sigulda and if you're interested, stop at Rundale Castle, which locals sometimes call the 'Little Versailles' because of how it's designed.

Sigulda

- Day 9
Tartu to Tallinn
Start your morning in Tartu, checking out the university town's vibrant café culture and student atmosphere. Afterward, head north and stop at Rakvere castle ruins in Lahemaa National Park. Then continue on to Tallinn for your final nights of the trip.

Tallinn

- Day 11
Tallinn to Saaremaa
Travel via Virtsu to catch a ferry to Muhu island, then cross via causeway to Saaremaa, Estonia's largest island. See the ancient windmills at Angla village and the beautiful Karja Church with its impressive dolomite sculptures. Also check out Lake Kaali, which formed from a meteorite impact.
