Itinerary
- Day 1
Ushuaia
You'll touch down in Ushuaia, the southernmost city on the continent, with the afternoon free to walk around Patagonia or head into Tierra del Fuego if you want something more remote. Later, you'll board your expedition vessel, go through the safety drill (required for all passengers), and then sail out through the Beagle Channel as everything gets underway.

At Sea
The ship heads across the South Atlantic toward the Falkland Islands, following the ocean currents. You'll attend talks from the expedition team covering the islands' history, wildlife, and culture. During the crossing, keep an eye out for whales, seals, and penguins in the water around you.

Falkland Islands
Zodiac excursions take you to West Falklands where you'll see Southern Rockhopper Penguins, Black-Browed Albatross, and King Cormorants on steep cliff faces. After that, you sail to Port Stanley, the main town, which has a distinctly British feel with Victorian houses, red phone boxes, and local pubs. You can visit Christchurch Cathedral, check out the museums, or walk to nearby beaches full of penguins.

Drake Passage Crossing
The ship sails east from the Falklands into the Furious Fifties, heading toward South Georgia. The specially built X-Bow vessel handles this two-day crossing through rough Antarctic waters. Meanwhile, you'll complete biosecurity procedures and listen to lectures on South Georgia's history, biology, and wildlife while watching for whales, albatross, penguins, and seals mixing sub-Antarctic and polar species.

- Days 7 - 10
South Georgia
South Georgia reveals jagged mountains, glaciers, and raw beaches. You'll see massive penguin colonies at Salisbury Plain and St Andrew's Bay, visit old whaling stations at Leith and Stromness, explore seal colonies at Gold Harbour, and visit Grytviken where Sir Ernest Shackleton's grave is located. The actual schedule shifts based on weather and ocean conditions.

Drake Passage Crossing
Crossing the Drake Passage again, heading north from South Georgia back to the Antarctic Peninsula. You'll relax on deck or in the ship while the expedition leader briefs you on Antarctic safety protocols and exploration plans. Biosecurity procedures happen, and lectures cover Antarctic exploration history, wildlife, geology, and how glaciers form.

Landmarks Drake Passage - Days 13 - 16
Antarctic Peninsula
Antarctic exploration starts in the South Shetland Islands with Gentoo and Chinstrap Penguins and Giant Petrels. You'll visit Deception Island's volcanic terrain, penguin sites at Aitcho and Half Moon Islands, then move into Gerlache Strait on the Antarctic Peninsula. Zodiac cruises take you through massive icebergs and glaciers, with hiking options on active glaciers, visits to historic huts, and whale watching. Weather and ice determine exact locations.

- Days 17 - 18
Return Crossing
The ship leaves Antarctica and spends two days sailing north across the Drake Passage back to Ushuaia. You can have cocktails in the Nordic Bar, attend reflective lectures from the expedition team in the Shackleton Lounge, or watch albatrosses flying alongside the vessel. The Captain hosts a Farewell Cocktail Party and photo presentation your final night onboard.
