    Thank you for sharing feedback about your time on the Highlights of Spain and Portugal guided holiday, as this first-hand insight is very important to us. While we are pleased to read that you enjoyed your trip overall, it does, however, concern us to hear that there were certain aspects of your trip that you felt could have been improved upon. We certainly understand the disappointment in not being able to visit the Alhambra Palace. It is important to note how difficult at times it can be to obtain tickets for the Alhambra Palace. It sells a maximum of 8000 tickets a day, as per UNESCO rules. From that amount of tickets, only certain amounts are allowed to be sold to groups and agencies, and the rest need to be sold to individuals. We do request our tickets in advance, however as our group sizes can vary in size if we request more tickets than are needed, the Alhambra Association can and will decide to give us none, at all. Please note, that 80% of the time we do secure tickets for our groups, however unfortunately in this groups’ case, it was one of the off times when we were unable to secure tickets. When tickets are not able to be obtained, we do substitute the visit with another popular attraction. Still, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. With that said, we remain hopeful that your time away with us was otherwise uplifting and for the chance to restore your full trust in Trafalgar in the future.

      We sure do (not on every trip on every departure) but for the Highlights of Spain and Portugal, definitely. The 06 August 2023 departure is $4,050.00 per person on a twin-share (share with a stranger) option. We run this trip approximately every seven days in September 2023.

      For this specific itinerary, breakfast (and sometimes luggage) is approximately around 6:30am - 7:30am. Then departing the hotel is approximately any time between 8am-8:30am. The stop in Fatima would be approximately for about 1hour 30 mins roughly. There is a very small and compact restroom on the motor coach that can be used for emergencies. We schedule in comfort stops to allow our guests to stretch their legs / walk around briefly, purchase some sundries / bottles drinks if available, or use the restrooms at the comfort stops.

    • For any tour departing before August 13th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Trafalgar. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Trafalgar will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
    • The following cards are accepted for "Trafalgar" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
