Hi Joy, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry for the confusion regarding the internal flights. While these flights are noted as not included in the trip price and mentioned in the detailed itinerary, we completely understand how easy it can be to miss this information, and we regret any stress this may have caused. Your feedback truly means a lot to my team and me, and I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed your journey through Chile and Argentina. Hoping to see you again soon! :) All the best, Pamela

Can you share on intra country flights - what time options to look for? Do we need to leave at specific time etc? Appreciate the info for all flight departures in advance to plan ahead.

    Flights / Transfers
    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten December 2025

Following the itinerary. Your clients need to book a flight on Day 3 from Santiago (SCL) to Puerto natales (PNT)

Recommended departure: 09:00–13:20 (Santiago local time)

Flight on Day 9 (no included) from El Calafate (FTE) to Buenos Aires (AEP or EZE)
      Recommended departure: 11:00–16:00
Flight time: ~3 hours nonstop (Aerolíneas Argentinas/JetSMART commonly operate)

Tip: AEP (Aeroparque) is closer to the city center than EZE if you want a shorter transfer

Everything else on this itinerary is handled by our team, including guided tours, ground transfers, and hotel nights, from Santiago at the start to Buenos Aires at the end.

    Robert

    Asked on November 19th, 2025

With regards to air travel within the 11-day Patagonia adventure, is the customer responsible for booking the airfare, or is that something you can assist us with? For example the trip from Santiago to Punta Arenas, and from El Calafate to Buenos Aires. Or are we fully responsible for these airline transfers withing the 11-day trip? What is the typical price range for these air transfers, ie SCL to PUQ, and from FTE to EZE?

    Flights / Transfers
    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten November 2025

Regarding the domestic flights. My personal recommendation is to book directly with LATAM; you should book them according to the itinerary. Of course with these flights, we will organize the corresponding included pick-ups. Also, the price of the flights depends on the season. Unfortunately, I cannot give you a tentative price because this is variable.

    • R

      Robert

      TravelerWritten November 2025

We are currently looking at making the trip some time in early or mid April. It also looks like there may be certain days of the week in April, (Wednesdays) that LATAM does not have any flights from FTE to EZE. I could be mistaken, but thought I should ask.

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten November 2025

From Calafate to Buenos Aires, you can check the flight on Aerolineas Argentinas; the prices are around $100 at the moment, so you can search these flights here and see if it works for your trip.

Is this a small group? Will we start with the same group from start to end? I'll be traveling with an older parent, this is not too strenuous right besides the bus ride and the transits in between cities?

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten October 2025

You will have shared and private activities where you will be traveling with different people who will be join this trip most of the time. The transportation for your parent will be enough comfortable; however the longest trip by bus (with bathroom) is from Puerto Natales to Calafate, it will take around 6 hours.

From Puerto Iguazu you need to do a stop in Buenos Aires on your way to Denver or fliying from Foz de Iguazu in Brazil to Rio. The weather in Iguazu Falls in February is like a temperature of 25/30°C but also rainy which give to the Falls more more strenght.
