From the moment our guide/driver introduced himself and took my luggage I felt respected and cared for : safe. When you are safe you can relax - physically (the muscles I used most on this trip were the ones that make me smile) mentally (all excellently planned by U-D-U, daily adjustments made with no fuss) and verbally – we teased our 'tour god' to bits. The 6-day tour geographically covered many of Tasmania's main attractions. Local knowledge of scenic viewpoints, animal sites (saw my first wombats!) and wine and coffee stops added to the diversity and pleasure of the holiday. Accommodation was all decent, some excellent. We were blessed in being a sociable group and having sunny weather, too. For those thinking of booking a tour, remember: -You can't change the scenery (and wouldn't want to, it's terrific) - You can't change your fellow passengers - You can't change the weather What you CAN do is book with Under Down Under; you will be well cared for, walk as little or as much as you like, see whatever you want to see and have a wonderful holiday. Campbell – You are a gem. Considering your interest in geology I hesitate to hazard a guess as to what type of gem – but I know it is rare and of high value.
