Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro
You'll land at Kilimanjaro International Airport where your driver-guide meets you. The 45-minute transfer takes you to either Moshi or Arusha, and your guide will go over what to expect from the climb and inspect your equipment. If you're missing anything, rentals are available right there.

Londorossi Gate to Shira 1 Camp
Your guide and the mountain crew come by the hotel for a final briefing before heading out. You'll drive roughly 3 to 4 hours to Londorissi Gate where you'll handle permit registration and search-and-rescue check-in. Then it's off-road vehicles up to 3,500 meters, followed by a short 5km trek (about 1-2 hours) to Shira 1 Camp with gentle elevation gain to get your body used to the altitude.

Landmarks Londorossi Gate Shira Plateau - Day 3
Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp with Acclimatization Hike
Today you trek 7km from Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp, which takes 3 to 4 hours of light hiking with great views around you. Lunch happens at camp, then you rest for a couple hours. After that, you'll do an acclimatization hike toward Lava Tower Camp, gaining about 200 meters in elevation.

Landmarks Mount Meru - Day 4
Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower
Eat breakfast and head toward Lava Tower, the important waypoint at 4,630m with some real climbing and descending involved. The altitude might get to you a bit, but you'll spend 1 to 2 hours there for acclimatization while having lunch. From there, you descend to Barranco Camp where the famous Barranco Wall comes into view.

Landmarks Lava Tower Barranco Wall Kibo Volcano - Day 5
Barranco Wall Climb to Karanga Camp
An early start means breakfast before tackling the Barranco Wall, a climb that takes roughly an hour and isn't technically complex. You'll rest and take photos at the top, then trek to Karanga Camp with ups and downs along the way. After lunch at camp and a couple hours of rest, an acclimatization hike heads toward Barafu Camp with a 200-meter gain before dropping back down.

Karanga Camp to Barafu Summit Camp with Acclimatization
Following breakfast, you trek to Barafu Summit Camp at 4,640m, your launching point for tonight's summit push to Uhuru Peak. The crew sets everything up with tents and sleeping bags ready. After some rest, you do an acclimatization hike to Kosovo Summit Camp and back, then eat a hot dinner and settle in before the night climb begins.

- Day 7
Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Millennium Camp
Late at night you depart Barafu Camp heading for Uhuru Peak at 5,895m. The climb itself isn't technically hard, but altitude is the real challenge here. Your personal guide stays with you the whole time, checking on how you're doing physically and mentally. Once you reach the peak, you have the option to do a glacier descent, then head back to Barafu for 2 hours of rest before continuing down to Millennium Camp in the tropical rainforest.

- Day 8
Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate with Certificate Ceremony
You wake in the rainforest where the lower altitude feels like a relief. After a warm breakfast, it's a 12km trek down to Mweka Gate, taking 4 to 5 hours. The group gathers to celebrate what you've done, everyone writes something in the guestbook, you get your commemorative certificates, and then a transfer takes you back to your hotel.

Departure from Kilimanjaro
Have breakfast at your hotel and you can take a short walk around Moshi town if you want. Then it's time to transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home.
