You'll arrive in Cologne with the rest of the day open before the cruise departs at 5 PM. This gives you time to walk around and check out the cathedral and other sights at your own pace. Grab lunch somewhere central, wander through the old town, and soak in the atmosphere before heading back to the ship.

- Day 2
Rüdesheim - Mainz
You'll arrive in Rüdesheim at 10:00 AM and head straight to Drosselgasse, the town's famous narrow street lined with wine taverns and local shops that capture the Rhine valley's character. Spend a few hours walking around and taking in the atmosphere before grabbing lunch at one of the traditional wine bars. You'll depart at 16:00 and drive toward Mainz, pulling in around 19:00. After settling in, you'll have time to walk around this historic city, which has over 2,000 years of history layered into its streets and architecture. The local character here is quite different from Rüdesheim, so it's worth spending the evening getting a feel for how the city moves after dark.

You'll arrive early in Frankfurt, Goethe's birthplace, and while the ship cruises along the Main river you'll get views of the city's modern skyline mixed with historic buildings. Spend your time walking through the banking district and exploring this important business center. The contrast between old and new architecture throughout the city makes for interesting wandering.

Loreley Valley - Koblenz
The cruise departs Frankfurt early morning and heads into the scenic Loreley Valley with dramatic river cliffs and vineyards on both sides. You'll stop in Hoorn, a charming town north of the main Rhine route, then continue to Koblenz by afternoon. This historic city has over 2,000 years behind it, with old palaces and homes scattered around, plus the famous Deutsches Eck where two rivers meet.
