The places and sites visited were well selected and planned and the van was very comfortable. The additional tour package that we bought was worth the money. And, most importantly, we were lucky enough to have Marco as our driver/guide-the very best person for this job in all of Sicily! He truly made our journey special. A few small negatives: the chocolate shop and winery tours were OK but not great, one or two of the hotels could have been better, and the trip felt rushed on some days. We would suggest that you keep the same places but extend the nights by one or two so that there would be a little more free time and fewer places to visit in one day.Show moreTrip date: October 2025
- CSChristine· October 13th, 2024We were failed by the tour operator in 3 key areas: 1. we were not met on arrival and the hotel had been changed without telling us. We were homeless in Palermo at 1am. On departure, the taxi to take us to the airport did not arrive. We left 35 mins late in a taxi the hotel called. 2. Itinerary. This was not delivered as advertised. On day 2 of our 8 day tour we were given a revised itinerary omitting some places we wanted to see. No consultation or explanation. And not even the revised itinerary was delivered in full. 3.Guidance - we were assured pre-departure that our drivers would speak English and provide some information on what to head for in the different locations. Julius· June 6th, 2024I have mixed feelings about this tour. In general, it was a self-guided tour. I expected that our driver would provide enough information about places to be visited. One driver did not speak English at all. All the hotels were fine, with good services. Sicily is a beautiful country and we fell in love with it.Show more

Show moreTrip date: May 2024- SASophie· April 28th, 2024We chose this tour because we are no longer young and it gave us the opportunity to visit the many historical sites Sicily has to offer, in a private comfortable car with a driver. It did not disappoint! The whole trip work like clockwork. Every day, our drivers and guides met us punctually. They were charming, knowledgeable, amusing and caring. Francesco gave us a great deal of insight into Sicilian history, culture and politics while coping with the mad Palermo traffic. Antonello's English was limited but he made out for it by his gentle caring attitude (I had stubbed my big toe and he took me to the chemist and looked out for me) Michale like Francesco was a mine of information. Because we were not a group, our guide in Palermo, whose knowledge was great, could Taylor the tour to our particular interest and our prior knowledge. In spite of not being in tip top physical condition, we came back delighted to have had the opportunity testily have the sort of holidays we used to enjoy when we were young.
