This tour is part of our Walking and Trekking collection and is classified as Activity Level 1: Easy, which is ideal for those who are new to walking trips. This is a relatively busy itinerary with plenty of sightseeing. There is a fair amount of walking around towns, cities and parks, but all on good paths, mainly wooden and sometimes cobbled streets in the old towns. We also walk on footpaths and rocky terrain, which can be loose in places with some slopes. The walks require an average level of fitness and all are optional. To visit all the highlights of the four countries, there are some long bus journeys. Below, you will find the approximate walking distances covered each day: Day 2 – 6 km / 3.7 miles Day 3 – 8 km / 5 miles Day 4 – 4 km / 2.5 miles Day 5 – 6 km / 3.7 miles Day 6 – 7 km / 4.3 miles Day 7 – 4 km / 2.5 miles Day 9 – 6 km / 3.7 miles Day 10 – 5 km / 3.1 miles Entrance fees to sites will be between €6 and €17.

If you would like a single supplement (own room) then that would currently be an additional $555USD (subject to change/availability). We don't include every meal so you have a chance to explore local restaurants! Many times on this tour lunches will be picnics bought from local shops and cafe stops with the group. The overall trip was good. It could easily be improved with a few minor changes. One of the changes would be half a beach day. We had 9people in our group out of 18 that wanted a beach day. We had request/ asked our tour guide if it would be possible on our last day as after the hike of the path of gods ( my favorite part of the tour) was sitting around the hotel. He did not seem eager to accommodate us and it never happened. It’s too bad that we flew all the way over there not to put our feet in the warm beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Another change that would make it more memorable would be making our own pizza. On the itinerary, I believe it said we do make our own pizza night but when we got there we watched them make a tiramisu cake. It would have been a fun and engaging evening to participate in a pizza night instead of standing there watching a demo. Third would be the communication. Our guide although friendly and approachable, did not communicate very well. At the end of the day, he would tell us what time to meet but it seemed to be us asking for information on what to expect and how to properly pack ( for example Pompeii and the size of bag you’re allowed to bring) He also did not point anything out on the bus like the sights and national parks. The day we went to sorrento, we had an amazing driver who told us everything!! He pointed out the monastery and told us there’s no roads to get there you have to hike. He showed us the national park and informed us of the tunnel we went through was 5kms - the longest one in the area. It was great to hear all those little tid bits of information and something I will remember. Would also be nice to have a lemoncello tasking. The area is known for there lemons and lemoncello, a little tasting after dinner would have been nice. Overall the trip was good with beautiful sights but with these little changes, it would have made for an excellent time Thank youShow more
