Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
A team member helps with your visa and gives you the lay of the land when you arrive. You'll get a private air-conditioned ride to your hotel, where staff helps you settle in. After that, the day's yours to relax and get acclimated to Cairo.

Cairo
Breakfast starts your day with typical Egyptian fare. Then you'll head out with an English-speaking guide to see the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, and the Great Pyramid, which is the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Come evening, you can either catch the light show at the pyramids or go for a dinner show on the Nile if you want something optional.

- Day 3
Cairo to Luxor
After hotel breakfast, the day is open for you to do as you like around Cairo. If you prefer something structured, there's an optional full-day tour hitting the Metropolitan Museum with Tutankhamun artifacts, the UNESCO World Heritage district, Saladin's Citadel, Khan el Khalili bazaar, and the Coptic area with the Hanging Church. Later, you'll transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor, then board your Nile cruise ship for dinner.

Luxor
After breakfast, your guide takes you through Luxor's most significant temples, the Temples of Luxor and Karnak dedicated to Amun and Ra, connected by a line of sphinxes. Then you'll cross the Nile to see the Valley of the Kings with its 62 pharaonic tombs, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Medinat Habu temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. You'll return to the cruise ship and head toward Esna.

Edfu and Kom Ombo
You'll catch a sunrise in Edfu before breakfast onboard. After that, a carriage takes you to the Temple of Horus, which is the best-preserved temple from ancient Egypt. Back on the ship for lunch, then you sail to Kom Ombo to visit the temple for Haroeris the falcon god and Sobek the crocodile god, where you can see mummified crocodiles on display. Dinner happens onboard as you sail toward Aswan.

Aswan
Breakfast comes first, then you'll board a traditional wooden felucca for a scenic Nile ride. You'll pass Elephantine Island, known for historic ivory trade, and Kitchener Island with its botanical garden overlooking the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Next is the Aswan High Dam, an major hydraulic project. Then you sail to Philae Island to see the Temple of Isis before returning to the cruise ship for the night.

- Day 7
Abu Simbel
After breakfast, you'll drive to Abu Simbel and board a Lake Nasser cruise for three nights. The main draw is the Temples of Abu Simbel, part of the Open Air Museum of Nubia, which were moved to save them from the Aswan Dam. You'll see the main temple with its large statues and the temple built for Nefertari. That evening, there's a light and sound show, then dinner and overnight on the ship.

Lake Nasser
Before breakfast, you can see the Kasr Ibrim fortress from the ship's deck, a significant Lower Nubian site that became an island after the dam and survived the floods. After lunch, you visit the Temple of Amada from Tutmosis III and Amenophis II's time, then the Temple of Derr built by Ramses II for the sun god. You'll also see the Tomb of Penut before heading toward Wadi el Seboua. Dinner and overnight follow on the cruise.

Lake Nasser
Following breakfast, you'll check out three temples: Wadi El-Seboua dedicated to Amon-Ra and Rahorakhti by Ramses II, then the Temple of Dekka for Thoth the god of writing, and finally the Temple of Moharraka showing Greco-Roman influence. You'll head back toward Aswan with dinner onboard and another overnight stay.

Aswan to Cairo
After breakfast, you disembark in Aswan for a tour of the Temple of Kalabsha with its pharaonic style dedicated to Mandolis, the Temple of Beit el-Wali rock-carved by Ramses II, and the Kiosk of Qertassi built for the goddess Isis. Then it's time to transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Once you arrive, a ride takes you to your hotel. If you want, there's an optional dinner show on a floating Nile restaurant.
